What exactly does "mixed rules" mean?

Is it like some shit we saw in Dream where Shinya Aoki got brutalized in the first round of a kickboxing match then the 2nd round was MMA? Will the 3rd round be a breakdancing battle?

Are both guys going to come out wearing one boxing glove each, to honor boxing?

Mixed-rules fight, per PFL chairman Donn Davis

Awesome for Frances! (Well, uh, maybe ...)

It's an easy win for him if it's MMA.

If it's boxing, with 4 ounces gloves, Wilder is too fast for Frances.

Obviously, either could knock-out the other, but Wilder's right hand is lightning-fast ... very long ... and I don't think Frances has seen anything like that before.

this is what Fury saw after being dazed by Francis

As backwards as this sounds

Ngannous advantage was in boxing, where he has no pressure to win rounds.

Which is why he looked so good against Fury. In a cage this obscure but impactful advantage is no longer in play

I don't buy most of these circus events...

...but I will buy this one.

And if Wilder actually agrees and arrives, props to him.

In point of fact, Frances is 0-1 now, so my opinion would be the opposite: he is about to be 0-2 against boxing elite, this time by KO.
I agree and feel as though Wilder is a tougher matchup for Francis than Fury was.

But if they are fighting 4oz gloves in a cage than Francis has a decent chance.

My guess would be MMA gloves but striking only, maybe boxing only.

Full MMA really wouldnt be very interesting, we all know Francis would take him down instantly and GnP a finish inside of a minute, Wilder would likely need to KO him with the first punch he throws to win.
