What level is he at, relative to other fighters? Could he hang with say Chiesa, or RDA, or what level of fighter would you say he could dominate with his grappling?

These are at the brown and blue belt level. So continuing the NBA metaphor, he is in the league but he started out on the bench but now plays in regularly in games but is no where near being the star player

Very good BJJ, but more of a top game guy in my opinion. Surprisingly good wrestling for a bjj guy, too. I think he can hang with all of the best grapplers in that division.

Close fight. I think he can beat gamrot, but I expect that it will be because of his striking if he does. Their grappling probably cancels eachother out.
I don't know if I'd pick him to win though, gamrot is a beast and has significantly better conditioning.

Agreed 100%, If Dariush doesn’t get a finish while standing within the first 3 rounds, IMO cardio will be the big discriminator in this fight. Gamrot will be going hard the full 5 and likely either take a decision or pull off a sub in the later rounds.
