Both of these were boxers with boxing styles really far from Fury, Wlad.Frazier did this to Ali, slipping the jab, then off rhythm jabs and counters while inside Ali's chest
Frazier was short and small target, infighter and sorry, was considerably more fresh than Ali, not alone 39 y.o Wlad. His work also was easier due to Ali guard postions etc alike things.
Vs boxers like Norton or if compare modern days Usyk or Parker or Fury, even vs the same Wlad, Vitali, Lewis, even vs Huck etc boxers this didn't had worked so well rather than with Ali version from 70 ies.
The same Foreman who is usually considered as worse boxer than Ali just due 1 fight vs Ali had dealt vs Norton and Frazier easily, both of these had gave Ali real hell like fights.
Foreman just did one thing: he had prepared and knew in what kind of positions and distance Frazier is more dangerous.
His task was not to allow him get this and start to throw.
Therefore he used his reach advantage and when Frazier started to close distance, pushed him back and landed on him. Complicated things sometimes are very simple.
Foreman had serious power and enough notable reach advantage vs Frazier. Ppl love to talk how Klits used this, Lewis, A.J. Foreman too had used this with a glance.
Ali looks that too was at least partially capable to do this, vs Frazier he had reach advantage and was heavier than Frazier. He still stick to his style from 70 ies and when failed, then attempted to be like Okolie vs Askin alike or Wlad is some his fights.
Ali from 60 ies ofc was different, Frazier not likely might had gave him such problems like vs Ali from 70 ies.
Ali from 70 ies should had drop his style vs Frazier and do vs Frazier the same manner fight like Foreman had did. Nope, he didn't changed his style, unless octopuse, rope and dope and holding added.
Maybe he didn't get that he isn't Ali from 60 ies?
