Is this the greatest losing performance ever?

I’d say so. Can’t think of a better one.

No. He never came close to wining the fight or finishing Islam.

Good grief the manlets are out in force tonight.

Possibly, I mean it makes you wonder who would have won if Volk was a natural LW now

well you do have your status of red belt meaning you are a dedicated and consistent braindead sherdog poster

So, when Islam arguably loses the fight- i mean he lost, clear as day - but judging criteria awards the wrestling control time, when he lost, and hes the bigger guy (because p4p normalizes for size and weight - that's the idea of it), then how is Volk not still the no 1 p4p.

Apologies in advance for the multiple ideas and concepts you are going to have to learn, understand and then form an opinion on.
Saying a fighter "lost, clear as day" when said fighter factually won the fight unanimously on the cards and most media scores reflect the same is definitively a clearer case of "braindead" than anything I could ever come up with even if I tried.

Congrats, you've set the bar even lower for blatant vacuousness.

Volk is #1 P4P. When you give up 10 lbs (arguably more since Islam barely makes LW) and go to a very close decision to the best LW in the world, you are still the best P4P fighter. Even if Islam beat Volk thoroughly, it's hard to say that he becomes #1 P4P until he does more in his own weightclass.

haha, well as I would expect, you can't differentiate between control time which scores points for score cards. And punches + strikes which would contributes more to what constitutes a "fight"

So then you get a very basic level (but obv way over your head) of who got hit more, who took more damage, who was panic wrestling stalling out the fight, who was on their back taking punches to the face as the fight ended (despite being the bigger specialist wrestler). Vs, who did more to meet judging criteria and win the contest.

I am making a judgement (like many people have) saying yeah he won on the scorecards, but lost the fight.

Given he only scrapped through, and hes the bigger fighter, I don't believe this entiltles him to p4p anything.

Of course, this is not for the benefit of you - you are a legitmate retard, you have a red belt to prove it which you no doubt earned over countless years of garbage posts of your room temp IQ mma knowledge, so ofc you won't understand a thing I am saying.

Islam won on the cards, but for the fight that went on in there - he ended up with a busted up face, on his back eating punches, despite being the heavy favourite - vs a smaller guy, well lost that fight (again not for you, for other posters).

Please enlighten me sir. Name one other FW that would've even survived 5 minutes with Islam.

Edson Barboza fights at Featherweight and he lasted 15 minutes against Khabib.

<Dany07>

P4p he is still the best and he is the best ever at FW

He will have more defences than Aldo by the time he hangs him them up

Volk don't forget had a couple of close calls in there like the first Max fight and against Brian Ortega.

Definitely belongs in the elite of the 145/155 shuffle. 145 guys shoul move up more often as the size difference isn't that great.
Brian Ortega wasn’t a close fight lol

As an Australian I am very proud of Volk's performance. I honestly did not know what to expect and although he didn't get the decision he exceeded my expectations.

I'd love to see a rematch tbh. I believe Volk has the greatest fight IQ in the UFC along with Jon Jones and believe he'd be able to make the necessary adjustments to get the win.

Again, "clear as day", eh? Which you needed to elaborate on for 5 or 6 paragraphs.

"Won on the scorecards, but lost the fight".

I'm not inclined to use this word usually as it reeks of millennial name-calling but this is as close to COPING as anyone can get.

HAHAHAHAA
