if true, that's a dumb fight for paul to take. keep on taking guys that are considered legitimate, but that you can potentially beat. no way he's beating nate diaz. even if paul was the better boxer, which he isn't, diaz has a superhuman chin.

Dustin hurt Conor and KO him in their fight. Jake Paul is bigger and hits harder. He has KO power vs bigger sized fighters than Conor. I don't think Conor can handle the punching power. Boxing skill isn't that far a part, just watch footage with Conor sparring with amateur boxers and you'll see that.

Rockhold definately has the size and the overall physical tools but honestly his boxing kinda sucks and his chin is glass
he's definately a MUCH bigger threat than Askren but i wouldn't be surprised if he somehow manages to gets his ass laid out cold with his bad habits and tendency to underestimate his opponents

That makes him perfect from Paul's perspective. I honestly think he has a shot though.

So Paul's first fight was also stopped when his opponent was also standing on two feet.

The knockdown looked bad, but I think he woke up right after and was good to go 100 percent. He was little wobbly, but what do you expect, he got hit pretty hard and hit the deck hard.

If Askren survived that, I have no doubt he could have come back. I mean no one thought Askren was going to win the first round or avoid possibly getting clipped, it was the cardio and his experience that people thought would come into play.

So how bad was that stoppage in your opinion?

I know 100 percent Askren could have continued without a doubt and it would have taken a lot from Paul to put him away because Paul isn't hard to clinch, and if there's one thing Askren is a master at, it's clinching people.

A referee should not have the power to stop a fight outright

they should only be allowed to Halt a fight to assess a fighters ability to continue... this process should take no more than 5 Seconds and would eliminate the entire problem instantly and forever.
