I think Glenfiddich 12 is the best whisky to introduce someone into the world of Scotch with. And, that's about it.I am not a fan of the 12 year old at all, but the 15 year old is great.
The 15 is really good. It's been a long time, but I recall preferring it over the 18.
I just picked up some Redemption rye, Redemption wheated bourbon (both made by MGP), and TX blended whiskey.
I'm not sure I've had any wheated bourbons other than Maker's Mark. My sister really likes Old Elk wheated bourbon, so I thought I'd buy this to compare.
I tried the TX at a wedding on Saturday. It's very one-note, but that note is vanilla ice cream. Certainly not amazing, but it was very enjoyable in its own right. Good enough to buy a bottle of it.
