I did - it pointed out that the raiders are poor. Wasn't really trying to comment on itDidnt read it did ya?
“The Raiders offered more money annually than Miami did, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network (Twitter link). However, the Dolphins bested them in one crucial aspect, the front-loaded nature of the contract. Garafolo reports that Vegas’ deal was more spread out, while Miami’s will give Jones $40MM just within the first two years.”
Hes going to fit right in.
Not so much anymore. Theyre already more well off than ever before from the Vegas stadiums lol. Unbelievable that that bowl cut orangutan looking moron pulled this off. Got a stadium making him hundreds of millions and barely opened his own tiny wallet to do it.I did - it pointed out that the raiders are poor. Wasn't really trying to comment on it
Looks like this was purely a money move b/c they're not winning more than 8 games next year.
Brady is mediocre at this point, not to mention Tampa Bay finished 29th last year in scoring defense.
Hope they eat shit and he can enjoy the 30m.Bucs make the yoffs, it's happening.
Welcome aboard BrainCandy, thanks for chiming in. What position do you play?Tampa resident here. This is the deal with the defense. We started the year with VH3, Carlton Davis, Ryan Smith and MJ Stewart as our top 4 corners. Around halfway through, they realized how worthless some of these guys are about the same time our new rookie DB's got healthy. So VH3 got cut and both Smith and Stewart got demoted in favor of Jamal Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting. We already had the #1 rush defense and league leader in sacks, with those DB's this was a top 5 unit by the end of the year.
It just doesn't show up on season long stats because of how bad those other guys were for the first 8 games.
This will be a dangerous team with Brady. We have a pair of pro bowl WR's and possibly the best WR corp in the league. We also have potentially the best TE pair in the league. OJ Howard has nearly the same physical gifts as Gronk. Cam Brate has been money in the red zone and can get vertical like a boss. So long as we can protect Brady, he's going to fucking murder people. There is a catch though...
Our offense tackles suck. Like maybe the worst in the league. We absolutely have to draft a tackle at 14. We've also struggled running the ball consistently and our top back isn't so good as pass protection. That absolutely has to be addressed or Brady might be out for the year inside of 6 games.
Edit: something else to remember about scoring defense. Winston turned the ball over like 51 times. Except for the pick sixes, that's a lot of times the defense started already in field goal position.
We'll see. I thought Brady was missing a lot of throws he used to nail. Tampa does have stud skill position guys though.Tampa resident here. This is the deal with the defense.
