Social President Trump To Eliminates All Federal Student Loan Debt For Permanently Disabled U.S Veterans

I was too lazy to sit in that fucking class to get the loan, ironically I just worked longer hours and took on more clients.

He could cure cancer and the partisans here would talk about how terrible Trump is because of....overpopulation...

Just the other day some wise guy said to me in a Trump thread that I “must be trolling” when I said Donald Trump stands for real Americans. This is yet another example of President Trump doing what’s right.

Cool with it

Glad to see you on-board Zebby. I’ve always known President Trump would be a man to unite the people and this thread is proof of that. Americans can get along and make the right choices as a country.

It's obvious what's going on here with his dog whistle racist ways. He knows the majority of vets are white therefore he's continuing his white supremacy ways, he should be impeached now!!!!!

I thought the previous administration officially stated all veterans since the US invasions of Afghanstan and Iraq have PTSD. Therefore, all vets are considered to have a disability (their term).

So, does this current executive order cover all vets since 2001?

PTSD count as a disability, and just like all other disabilities, each case of PTSD have a different rating given by the VA's evaluation, between 0% and 100% debilitation.

Those with PTSD so severe that it's deemed to be a permanent disability with no chance of recovery certainly qualifies.

Why are people under the impression it's something Hitler wouldn't do? Nozzies promoted and implemented placing the interests of the country as a whole before those of municipalities, a reduction of class distinction in both a monetary and humanitarian sense, full employment, free education, massive public works programs, improved social services and family welfare, pro-environment legislation, emphasis on health and physical fitness, animal rights, etc.

His executive orders are typically not worth the paper they're written on. Sounds good, but I doubt it'll ever come to fruition.

He issues an executive order like this while overseeing a dismantling of financial regulation that allows lenders to fuck people over across the nation more than they have before. Color me unconvinced.

Edit-- was congratulating him and now I find he might not actually do it?

This
Lenders take tiny hit on this while being allowed to make massive gains from everyone else
Its a pr smokescreen fir the lenders and the politicans they own who implement it

So this is what the WR refers to as TDS, huh?

The U.S Department of Education is the lender for Federal student loans. Now ALL the debts they held from the permanently disabled vets are automatically cancelled, so what the hell are you partisan hacks bitching about?

My point was quite clear. I have nothing to complain about if it actually happens. Hopefully it's a gang plank towards the state actually taking care of veterans so they aren't killing themselves left and right.

Summary:

- We currently have about 25,000 permanently disabled veterans who are eligible for Federal student loan debt forgiveness from the U.S Department of Education, with an average of $30,000 of student loan each.

- A debt-forgiveness program for vets existed before, but it was designed with so much bureaucratic red tapes and hurdles for applicants to go through in a long, arduous, and often mismanaged process, only 1 in 5 of our eligible vets actually ends up receiving it.

- With President Trump's new Executive Order, all Federal student loan debts owed by any permanently disabled U.S veterans are now automatically cancelled by the Department of Education.

President Trump signs executive order to eliminate federal student loan debt for permanently disabled vets
By Savannah Behrmann and Chris Kenning, USA TODAY | Aug. 21, 2019

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday a new plan to relieve disabled veterans totally of federal student loan debt.

"The debt of disabled veterans will be entirely erased," Trump said during his prepared remarks at the American Veterans 75th National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. "In a few moments, I will sign a memorandum directing the Department of Education to eliminate every penny of federal student loan debt owed by American veterans who are completely and permanently disabled."

The memo directs the government to develop an "expedited" process, which the Department of Education said would mean loans are forgiven unless veterans opt out.

Trump addressed a large crowd of veterans at the event, saying, "You fought courageously for your country, and now we’re fighting courageously for you."

He also vowed to eliminate "every penny" of an average of $30,000 in federal student loan debt for each of about 25,000 disabled veterans.

At the conclusion of his address, the president stayed on stage to sign the executive order in front of the crowd, flanked by Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, among others.

“That's hundreds of millions of dollars in student debt held by our severely wounded warriors. It's gone forever,” Trump said.

That's some quality socialism.

Should probably be applied to everyone at this point, and all college lending stopped.

Probably not well intentioned but the ends would be justified. still, Sounds like some commie stuff to me

If they gave up a limb (or worse) to serve our Country they deserve everything we can do to help then rebuild their lives. Period. This should not be a partisan issue.
