The xHeadx Random Food Thread

This happens a lot when I upload pictures. They’ll look normal to me and not to others. But all of @xHeadx pictures look just fine for me.

Thanks for the confirmation. Sometimes hard to tell when someone is trolling vs being serious. I checked on computer too.

Smoking a brisket this weekend: 10 lbs, Prime. Starting on Saturday evening in prep for lunch on Sunday. Got the beer ready too. Will provide a play-by-play starting this evening.

Trimmed the brisket, seasoned & wrapped. Seasoning is coarse salt & ground pepper. No need to get fancy. Will start smoking in 4-6 hours.

Yes I do but not sure if I have pics. If no pics, I'll ask the wifey to make in the next few days. Pizza is a staple in our house.

Are you Italian? I'm trying to get that family recipe.

Roasting the veggies makes all the difference...the rosemary is very optional, garlic to your tastes,

Homemade Pizza Sauce made with freshly roasted veggies and seasoned with dried spices, I like to add some red pepper flakes in the last few minutes. Mom never did, though.
  • 9 Plum Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper Or Green Bell Pepper
  • 12 Cloves garlic (adjust to your taste)
  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste unsalted
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary (optional)
  • 4 tsp extra virgin olive oil (divided into 2 portions)
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Cut the tomatoes and bell pepper into cubes
  • In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients except for the salt, pepper and 1 portion of the olive oil
  • Coat the ingredients well
  • Place the coated tomatoes and peppers in a casserole dish
  • Place in the oven and bake them until the tomatoes are brown on the outside
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes
  • Roughly blend them in a food processor or use an immersion blender or potato masher.
  • In a medium pan, add the remaining oil and heat for 30 seconds
  • Add the blended sauce, salt and pepper
  • Stir well
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately or refrigerate for about 1 week.

Thanks for posting. Ours has less ingredients but this sounds delicious. Will have to give it a try.

Can you post a steak well done topped with ketchup?

I too would love to see this, perhaps some variations of it like using a blender on the well done steak and ketchup to serve in a bowl as soup.
