Social Things you purposely pronounce “wrong”

I also mispronounce chipotle, but as "chi-poe-tull." "Gym" I often mispronounce ala Homer Simpson as "guym." My wife gets irritated when I use "et" as the past tense of eat. It took me a while after moving back from North Carolina to stop pronouncing oil as "ohl." And I deliberately mispronounce Downton Abbey as "Downtown Abbey."

Hahaha yes! Downtown is guaranteed to get a head shake from whoever you are watching it with.

My gf says a couple things that hurt my ears.

Used of it instead of used to it.

Double guess instead of second-guess. "You made me double guess myself".

I grew up saying Holloween instead of halloween. I switched it up so I wouldn't sound like a weirdo but I slip up sometimes.
