Just wanna make sure Sherdog supports Francis decision<45>
Lol sherdoggers are hypocrite. Before the PFL contract and the fight against Fury everybody were saying how Francis is dumb, and that should go back to Africa in the sandmines.
Just wanna make sure Sherdog supports Francis decision<45>
Ngannou would’ve stiffened juiced to the gills Jones anyways, said it before and I’ll say it again; Jon got lucky.I voted no. As a fan I still wanted Jones/Ngannou + winner fights the new HW division: Aspinall/Pavlovich/Almeida/etc... but it's a good money decision for Ngannou. Might get a fun fight with Wilder.
I'm just saying as a fan I want to see it. The Ngannou/Fury fight was eye opening, but if we removed the context it was a boring match besides Ngannou's knockdown. It would've been more exciting with a few more UFC fights. Although Wilder/Ngannou might be insane. Either way Ngannou is making more money.Ngannou would’ve stiffened juiced to the gills Jones anyways, said it before and I’ll say it again; Jon got lucky.
Fury is and was always overatted he’s a size bully and very sloppy at times open to counters up top particularly on his left side he’s a lazy fighter dropping hands bc he’s used to guys not reaching him .Long time sporadic poster here, big fan of the sweet science over MMA. I had Fury in my top 10 HW's of all time.
Fury has been compared to Ali, has good head movement, ring IQ , speed, a decent chin, punch selection and a jab.
Enter a guy who laces them up for the first time and arguably won the fight and embarrasses boxing.I've read the other threads but I still struggle in attributing the failure to:
An off night
Lack of prep, etc
Ngannou is a beast
Fury should have put a clinic on him. What happened to the sweet science?
This is not a moral contest or an ethics race. It's business. If Francis hated working with the UFC and loves working with the Saudis, that's called good business. If it makes him 10x the $, that's called smart business.okay... not like the Saudis dont see money $$ signs even more then Dana naa they not greedy either
He's gonna threaten the Saudis? Wouldn't that be idiotic?Let’s just see how vindictive Dana is.
Ngannou is the first guy to buck the system. I wouldn’t put it past Dana to do everything in his power to limit how well Ngannou does.
Stuff like “If you let Ngannou fight here I’m never bringing the UFC here again..”, making sure people don’t work with him, close every possible door he can.
Ngannou will still do better than he would with the UFC, but Dana has pull in the business, it sucks for Ngannou to have him as an enemy.
I had it for Fury by a couple of rounds. Honestly really only thought it was close because of the KD. Ngannou did do better than expected but I don't think he won.
you'll be surprised at how many UFC fans there are. Not MMA fans, UFC fans.Surely nobody can seriously vote “no” on this now, right?
Jones eventually bent the knee to Dana and is now seeing Francis do what a REAL revolutionary does - carve his own path. He's got to realize that not only can that man likely beat him in a fight, he can also do that in a boxing match, and is also doing that in business and creating opportunities for himself. If Jon had a team with the vision of Francis' team, he might have been that guy.Jones and Dana on suicide watch
With the right Saudi money, this can happen, brother. Great idea!Lets rename this forum to FrancisDog because all I see are Ngannou threads.

Of course I assume that. You assume Francis won't land on him first?
Of course Fury said that, selling and easily convincing the moron public that fighting mma jobbers is a risk for him instead of Usyk is the most lucrative route he can take.If that were true fury should have still won easily even if he didn't train (setting aside his own words that he trained fully and seriously for this bout and setting aside fsxt that he was to find usyk only 2 months later which implies he should already be preparing anyway).
If this is a cash grab then what's to Stop every boxing match to be one too? If so they are all fixed right? Sometimes we should just give credit to a guy who has worked hard and done well - fury did and u should to.
He never fought a guy of similar weight when weighing 270 plus . He wasn’t gassed he cruised through the fight rather easily when Ngannou wasn’t doing much , he looked bad because he faced a guy who can punch and had enough sense to slip shots and control his own opponents range , it was actually Ngannou fatigued he was breathing heavy just after rnd 1 and bc he never been in something like this had to control his own energy to last the entire fight if he didn’t get a knockout win .the thing is Ngannou really didn't look or do anything impressive, Fury just looked like shit. Fury hasn't gassed like that in a fight before
He looked more than pudgy, I legit laughed and knew the Usyk talk was either fake or he hadn’t even started to train for either fight. That was embarrassing for boxing even if it wasn’t really as close as people think. I genuinely think Fury is convincing people it was close is to open doors to more opportunities. Why train hard when you can clown around for similar money?Perhaps Fury didn't take him seriously. For a guy who supposedly had a 12 week training camp, he looks soft and mushy. He looked like a regular out of shape person from the audience, as opposed to a high level athlete expecting an easy night.
