rda had the best opponent possible for his welterweight debut. saffiedine melts under pressure and has horrible cardio.

people are still thinking rda can walk people down and destroy them like he did against pettis, i'm not so sure.

i think rda's title run was drug fueled, the way he walked through shots with no reaction like the terminator was ridiculous (kind of like prime hendricks, yet it's funny how johnny gets staggered all the time now).

magny is no world beater, but he's a legit welterweight with a 10 inch reach advantage and i'll happily play him at +170.

Yeah right dude.
The guy was getting beaten up by no names and suddenly he got a body of a greek god and was KOing guys.
Usada is not there to take part, they are there to take over.

Pettis-RDA is one of my favorite ass-whoopings ever. RDA came in as the +400 dog and just dominates him for 5 rounds. But, yeah. He went from Journeyman to best athlete @ LW at the age of 30. In his defense, some of his earlier losses weren't exactly definitive. Guida got him as a result of a freak jaw injury, and Tibau won a fairly contentious, grinding split decision http://mmadecisions.com/decision/3193/Gleison-Tibau-vs-Rafael-dos-Anjos.

I'd pull the trigger on Magny, but my issue with Magny is that he's frustrating as fuck. He's a B+ wrestler, grappler and striker, but instead of looking at specialists and attempting to get them out of their preferred game and into one of the areas they're shit at, he inevitably tries to take on their A+ head-on with his B+ when he should be targeting their C- areas. He's too comfortable to let his opponent dictate the pace and area of a fight. I think skill-wise RDA's better in every area, and will ultimately be able to walk Magny down when Magny commits to a fight that he really shouldn't.

I'm also liking Melendez as the underdog and Melendez decision.

It was three fold though too,
Not only did he look like a tank (all of a sudden)
Not only did he suddenly get KO power
He also was walking through hell and fire like it was nothing

It was the most obvious case for PEDs I had ever seen (the Pettis fight)
And I hate Bobby green but I think he's bang on here

You're acting like RDA's taken major steps back, though. He might have discovered new PEDs mid-career, but he hasn't been popped and hasn't shown any signs of having had them taken away. Alvarez caught him with one big punch in a competitive fight, and Ferguson-RDA was a war that demonstrated the same insane cardio. I mean, RDA's clearly fishy, but I find it hard to believe that he's not going to show up with the same attributes as he showed in the Pettis fight.

McMann and Gleen are with Team Alpha Male now

Bhullar worked with DC for the Jones fight

Man Magny by decision is tempting.....3.75 at bet365

if you like rda the decision line at +150 is even a better deal imo.

the little 5'7" post usada rda is not knocking shit out at 170 even if magny is a little bit chinny

i didnt see a war in the ferguson fight, i saw a guy clearly lose where there would be no need for a rematch. rda absorbed 200 strikes to only landing 126.

200 to 126 is a big difference. to put it into proper perspective, hendricks only landed 142 in is controvesial loss to gsp and absorbed 125

Stephens has looked decent, despite dropping 4 of his last 7. He still carries lots of power and is hard to take down.

The last part of this quote is the exact point that holds me back for putting money on him. Hard to take down? I think Edgar (and even Carneiro in some spare moments) did that relative easy.

Just because there was a clear winner doesn't mean that fight wasn't competitive and high-paced. My point is more than USADA doesn't seem to have killed RDA's cardio as much as you'd think. He went 5 hard rounds in Mexico City which is a lot to say for anybody, and I think that he's still the same RDA of the Pettis fight. Ferguson's just a whole 'nother beast, and he got caught against Alvarez. I foresee Magny having issues dictating the sort of fight that he needs (rangey striking) and instead ending up letting RDA pressure, which isn't good for anybody.

RDA's going to have issues at WW against fellow, bigger grinders moreso than a suggestible Jack of all trades like Magny.

i agree with wat youre saying, if neil cant maintain distance then he could lose. however, if he does create space then rda is going to be eating a whole lot of magny jabs and right hands. every time i think of that little post udada guy without one punch power pressuring 170s i just dont get it.

I like rda but not at this price. If he makes it down to -150 or better I will pull the trigger

Have you watched Magny fight? He's got borderline Struve syndrome where he has all this reach, but seems unable to actually enforce it in favor of randomly getting into clinch fights. Magny got outstruck by both Hendricks and Lombard (before he gassed) who have a similar size deficit in reach and length.

Anyone have any footage on Arjan Bhullar? I could only some highlights from one of his early fights (although I haven't looked super hard).
