UFC 292: Aljamain Sterling vs. Sean O'Malley, Boston, August 19

Yeah dude...but Yan was beating his ass in round 4 until the illegal knee which would have put Yan up 3-1 on 2 cards and it would have been 2-2 on the other. Meaning without the DQ, Aljo would have needed to finish Yan in the 5th and Aljo was pretty gassed and beaten up by then so that was super unlikely.

That's why Yan was such a massive favorite in the rematch, because everyone saw how he was handling Aljo the first time. As it turned out, Aljo's main mistake in the first fight was the amount of energy he used trying to win heated striking exchanges with Yan early and throwing ridiculous volume early on to where he couldn't keep up that pace. In the rematch he used well timed takedowns and control to mete out his energy way more efficiently and Yan didn't have an answer for that grappling.

Yeah Aljo fought a kamikaze fight vs Yan in the first. Trying to hold a pace only Merab can hold. He fought better in the second but gained lot of help from Yan who took first round off to make reads.

Tiuluilin is terrible with his grappling, but do people really trust Robocop to finally try to implement his grappling game? Dude has a legit background but just always wants to play rock em sock em robots in there. And he's getting older, and his chin finally gave in last time out. So maybe that's his wakeup call to go to his grappling and maybe the UFC is throwing him a bone by giving him a sub par grappler here. But man...-350?? For a guy who's never shown a willingness to play to his best strength and who happily engages in balls out firefights and gets hurt all the time (even if he's managed to survive some bad spots and find his own KO often)?

IDK. This **should** be Robocop taking Denis down and subbing him but if he just once again decides to brawl...?

I feel exactly the same. Takedown and sub or gnp would be the smart and easy way to win the fight but he only wrestles when he's hurt or tired and needs a break. I'm slightly overweight Tiuluilin in dfs for just that reason. When you don't block punches or utilize your best strength there's always a chance you go to sleep.

I did a few DK lineups and have shares of both guys for sure.

You DraftKings playing muthafucka!

I knew you were still playing, even after you said you stopped for good. <Lmaoo>

Yeah I probably play 25% of what I did but I still throw lineups in LMAO. I left $ in mostly to just do like football best ball drafts and stuff but of course then I'm like "Well...what kind of lineup would I build IF I was gonna do a couple..." and then of course I'm like "yeah this looks good..."

I shoulda ditched those fucks LOL but they drug me back in.

But even for football best ball I like Underdog better. They have a weekly winners contest that's a way better format imo.

Like these lines the most (betonline).

Tavares Round 1 winner or finish @-155

GM3 ML @+235 and Sub @+315

(earlier odds)

Katone most TD @-140

(wanted to add more but it's -200 now)

Zhang/Lemos does not start round 5 @-250

TL/Rodrigues Under 1.5 @-165

Gregory Rodrigues round 1 (t)ko @+360

Magny most SS + Most TD + DEC @+1400

Neil Magny Round 3 Winner or finish @+375
(I think this line gets voided if fight ends earlier by either party, but I'm not 100% sure).

This card serms like dissapointment card for me.

I want Gerald, Weidman, Weili and Sean to win. Gut feeling says everyone of them will lose. Even Weili will find way to get clipped on exchange.
Maybe just being pessimistic but whatever.

Just curious… why do you go to Vegas to get rather than an online Sportsbook?
  • Only a 1 hour flight.
  • I only go for specific cards that I see value in.
  • Most of my betting bankroll is in Las Vegas, whereas I have a small bankroll online.
  • It's too tempting to waste your bankroll on other games and sports if the majority of your roll is online.
  • Gives me a chance to get away for the weekend and clear my mind (I'm a school teacher), eat good food, and bet on fights. Also, I get free hotel rooms and comped food, so what I win or lose in Las Vegas just depends on how I do in my betting. Hotels in Vegas are usually the biggest expense, followed by food.
  • The money lines, prop lines, ad ability to parlay all props together is also a plus, especially when I usually get the best odds in Vegas and can parlay them if I want to.
