I agree with you. The two things are not related. I only think you should be prohibited if you are an actual danger to others. That should require some type of evidentary hearing. Unfortunately I am foreclosed from challenging it. I've thought about this.

I didn't take it as a threat tbh. Trying to fight me in New Orleans would be fucking retarded. Alt right? Yeah most likely. Those dudes are essentially Bronys. There are some crews out there like the AB, Hammerskins and such that are legit fucking terrifying. I've talked about biting an anti swazi patch off my jacket in straight fear because my crew wasn't around and they crashed a small punk show. Those dudes held down a friend of mine and carved a swastika into his stomach with a knife when he was 16. I used to get death threats from those guys for my blog way back when lmao. The alt right is a bit more organized than the "antifa" everyone is so worried about, but they aren't doing show raids like the old days. They're usually marching with police protection because groups like the Proud Boys and The Base have infiltrated a lot of local PDs.

I've said it before, the Proud Boys are modeled after old school skinhead crews, down to the initiations and all that shit. That's something that the Left in general could really learn from the Right, is the ability to rally behind each other. In general though, with the alt right?
