Thankfully there's a lull in game releases until the fall. I'm going to be no-lifeing WoW Classic for the next couple of months at least.

Same with me on Detroit but don't spread yourself too thin, ma dude. You were taking a hiatus on Wild Hunt before jumping into B&W expansion, yes?
Holy fuck you have an amazing memory....

Ill take a pause on TW3 for now, I havent touched it in like 2 months and a half but I still know where I was in the story/ control scheme etc, love that game but life man.

Really need beter time management, but too many hobbies, too little time, real annoying.

Not for switch exclusives though right.

Astral chains, Link's awakening, DQ11 etc are all releasing within the next couple of weeks.

Link’s Awakening is the only one I care about.

Fight Night Champion

Half a gig update today...okaaay...I don't know what they could possibly be updating, but nice to see that support is still there. I'm at the point where I was way back on the 360. Either fighting cheesy dudes, who exploit the stamina glitch, or running into Isaac Frost bitches. Luckily, there's still a healthy amount of players who respect the actual gameplay and don't cheese. Had an epic fight with B-Hop and Roy Jones Jr the other day. I thought I had the dude running into the last round, but guy came out of nowhere with a power shot and ended it. I couldn't even get mad. It was such a nice shot. Even the other dude sent me a PM about how amazing the fight was. What a great game.

On a side note...

Stellaris

Anyone played it? Is it essentially "Civilization" in space?

I’m trying out all the builds, just finished a pure bloodtinge build that absolutely destroyed invaders. Pretty much one bullet with bone marrow ash kills an invader. Also WHY is there no improved performance with boost mode? (For the PS4 pro). The frame rate is pretty bad in comparison to the buttery smooth frame rate in dark souls 3.

Unfortunately Bloodbourne never got a Pro Patch so you don't really get any extra performance out of it apart from less fps drops thats about it..

Playing the shit out of Fire Emblem. This game is really great.

Been on a bit of a break on MK11. I still play it a bit but damn all my video game time when not playing with friends has been dedicated to Fire Emblem lately. I have Monster Hunter on PS4 but a couple of friends recently got it on PC so I play that a bit too. Wish I could share the account across platforms.

Te, turns out I did not have the DLC. The red-font quests were leading me to the opening of the Atlantean gate (after I sealed it, WTH, lol) but then a paywall-type box prompts on-screen to head over to the PS Store before I can continue.

Got the Platinum trophy last night and haven't anything left to do so am going to move on with potential for coming back if I ever get the itch to buy the season pass or one of either expansion. Time in game rounds off to 145h and levelled to 72. It's been fun.

I'll say again, best water gradients and ebb-flow behaviour I've ever seen in a game; world-building here gets top marks from me. If they'd done combat differently, I reckon I'd be keener to pick up title extras but right now I'd like a clean slate with something else.

They're going to run deals on the dlc at this point. In fact I think the first episode on Atlantis is free right now. The first round of dlc (Legacy of the First Blade) is nice because it adds a lot to the ending of the story. Atlantis is a stand alone add.

I actually bought No Mans Sky a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it. This game legit came back from the dead.

Tempting to pick up, First Blade specifically. I enjoyed Origins' ending as well as its Hidden Ones expansion for that very reason – unveilings and tie-ins as related to the AC universe. Very cool, I thought, and gave everything I did up to that point a parts-greater-than-sum meaning in addition to avenging the twisted loss of my son.

While I know there's (some) dislike for the direction AC went with Origins, I thought it creative canon and a very fun 'prequel' with more than likeable protag. Odyssey didn't on that note resonate with me as it had with Bayek, the Brotherhood, and everything in between. Reckon I'm here meaning that because I think they should have gone this time with a new IP, I essentially don't want to watch them reach and, nominally, bring it all full circle.

Would love to see new enemy forces though and I remember the afterlife in Curse of Pharaohs expansion for Origins blowing me away. Beautiful. I have no doubt they didn't do as good a job here for Kassandra and Co.

I think I might just have to come to the realization that I don't have the patience for these types of games anymore.

All this Assassin's Creed Odyssey talk makes me want to get back into it. I was enjoying that game a lot when I was playing it. I remember there was some update where if you were a certain level it would reward you with a one-time skill points bonus and I missed it and got salty and didn't play since then lol. I remember it being really fun and looked great on my mediocre PC.

I finished Fire Emblem Three Houses. Amazing game and might be my favorite Fire Emblem of all time. It's certainly up there and the NG+ options along with the multiple routes give it a ton of replay value aside from just increasing the difficulty. Took around 65 hours to beat it on Hard/Classic. I plan on playing through all the other routes too. This will likely be my first single-player game I dump over 100 hours into... the last time I did that solely in single-player was probably MGSV.

I haven't played Stellaris. It's a Paradox games and I've never had the patience for any of their shit (Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron etc). But if you're still thirsty for a 4X game, GalCiv I found really user friendly and easy to play (Moreso because I was coming from the Civ games I think). I'd personally recommend GalCiv2 over GalCiv3, but mainly because I know GalCiv2 was pretty much perfect and I haven't spent that much time with GalCiv3 for a fair comparison.

I play Stellaris on the fastest speed and just pause when I need to do something pretty much the entire time.

Ended the Cult's reign this morning in Odyssey. Pretty spectacular watershed in the AC universe, I thought, and cool visual wrap from the creatives at Ubi Québec. What I'll call HereticBD's Law of Underwater Suck is now well underway as I run around the Greek World looting shipwrecks and whatnot. I swear, swimming and NPC-escort objectives – naught otherwise I hate more in gaming. Embrace the fast-travel woes and oxygen-depleting, plodding clunkiness, I hear the spirits say. O, and sharks.

There is a weapon on a tiny island that lets you breathe under water. It's on an island with a statue of Posiden. Can't remember exactly where it is.

Finished up the story in Days Gone. Playing Death's Gambit now. Pretty fun 2D soulslike game. About 1/2 way through the campaign in They Are Billions when I started Days Gone so I'm gonna get back into that as well.

Appreciate it. I have it (it's a legendary trident whose name escapes me ATM and I think was off coast of Samos) but I didn't want to engrave for it with so limited real estate as is when I could instead buff Critical Assassinate, Hero Strike by 20% or what have you. First-world problems.

Kind of all over the place on the 3DS right now with the Steamworld series, Ace Attorney, and Urban Trials.

Dig and its sequel are really neat platformers. The mechanic of tunneling your own path to traverse is pretty cool. The sequel's art is gorgeous and the mechanics for getting around are super satisfying. The problem is the game seems to end not long after it really opens up to you.

Ace Attorney is very entertaining, I didn't expect the characters and dialogue to be so endearing but it pulled me in from the get to. It can be a slog sometimes but I'm excited to play the first trilogy and the last three games for it. Was one of those games that the moment I started, I knew I would need more.

Urban Trials is just good pick up and play fun. Simple to play but difficult to master. It's not the greatest game but I paid less than $5 for 1 & 2 which is a great deal.
