I think Bektic crushes him but not paying juice aside a small bet in a crazy running parlay since the start of 2017.

Chas and lucas martins are common opponents.
Bektic killed Martins. Decisioned Chas but impressed the hell out of me. He was 22 or something like that taking on a really good wrestler and taking him down IIRC.

Did you watch what Elkins did to Skelly? 30-27, 30-26, 29-27. Who knows what it would have been under the new scoring system.

Guys can we get off the whole skelly bektic elkins argument mma maths lads it doesnt hold up. It was bektics debut and how old was he like 22? Skellys a gamer especially for a young kid making his debut. Elkins cage hugged martins for 3 rounds and couldnt take him down while bektic murdered him. Pls remember that before going off on how elkins put in a better showing against skelly. It was prob elkins' 8th ufc fight too or somewhere around that when he fought skelly not his friggin debut

Guys we cant ignore Elkins new tattoo when capping this fight. The p4p worst tattoo on the roster has to count for something. If Elkins gets on top Bektic might tap to the horror of seeing that tattoo up close.

That's the entire point here - Bektic wasn't very active. He can get a pass in Rd 3 after the knee in Rd 2, but again, the punch is what hurt him first and the knee was illegal only due to him putting his hand. Bektic got a takedown, Skelly gets the back after fishing for a couple subs, Bektic slips out, Skelly lands a punch, another takedown for Bektic. It wasn't very eventful, and the judge who valued the escape to back take and the punch over the takedowns scored it for Skelly. Again, I only looked at two play by plays, and one Sherdog guy gave Rd 3 to Skelly and MMAJunkie mentioned they figured one scorecard would at least give it to Skelly.

The better question here is how in the world can you argue a 30-26 to Bektic giving him Rd 2?! Not sure anyone agrees there.
Yeah, I may have worded it weirdly but I was trying to say giving round 3 to Skelly is as ridiculous as giving round 2 to Bektic, imo. Good input, thanks for your take on the fight. I still think it's a baaaaad match up for Elkins but I'm on the Bektic-is-a-future-champ bangwagon ;)

Aren't you the one with posts after posts about how you can't understand people getting "the juice" on Khabib, yet you have a problem with people making an argument on an underdog sitting over +400 who has a 64% winning rate as a dog?

I mean I was impressed with his skill, his heart, and his moxie. Showing resilliance at such a young age.
Elkins definetley beat chas worse but at the same Bektic killed Lucas while elkins decisioned him less impressively, if we're playing MMAth.
I did watch and I'm not on the "dont waste you money train" like I was when Lineker fought TJ. Since the odds are so high right now it may be the right play.

I wouldn't be shocked if Bektic won 30-27 similar to Dias, but Elkins will make it a fight throughout. Besides Skelly, this will be the only gritty wrestler Bektic has fought. It's tough to overcome even for prospects.

Everyone knows Brits can't cap grappling or attractive women, they simply don't grow up with that in the UK.

I was just surprised to see this after the beginning of this thread was days of people rehashing the same point on Khabib/Ferg.

P4P the worst??? Come on man Grandma Barao and Johnny Cash(ish) would like to have a word with you.

I'm going to go against what appears to be most of the thread and bet Hashad. I know he looked terrible his last time out but I think he has the gas tank and wrestling to grind this one out. He knows it's ride or die time for him and i don' think he's ready he's ready to make commentating his full time gig. I like him here to win against what I were as an average opponent

Idk how you can lay the -220 juice on him

In what way do you see Kelly winning this fight, though? I wont be betting Rashad at these odds but I have a feeling we're all gonna look back after the fight and say, "there was value in -220"

Maybe. But rashad hasn't looked good since 2013. That's a long time. He's an older guy in fight years even tho he's 37 to Kelly's 39

And -2xx is way too risky

I'd be surprised if that happened. Kelly keeps finding ways to to win when he has no obvious path to victory.

Yea I can see that, but you can't just fade a guy because of that aspect alone. I can counter your argument by saying the guys that Rashad has fought since losing to JBJ are head and shoulders above Dan Kelly (which include: lil nog, bader, sonnen, evans, and glover). More so, if you're gonna call their grappling a wash and this fight is played out entirely on the feet, there's no chance I'd say Kelly had a 37% chance of winning or whatever the odds come out to be. Again, no chance in hell im paying -200, personally, but IF i had to pick a side and bet on it w/ gun to my head, I'd pick Rashad over Kelly
