So, wait... If a post that you guys disagree with gets more likes than one you agree with, do you just sort of roll over and accept it because likes = quality or truth value or whatever? Or will you not do that because this whole pointing out likes things is bullshit that you'll only opportunistically endorse when it suits your purposes, and then act entirely differently when it doesn't?

I think Pan is right on this one. There is a big difference between what makes a post good and what makes it popular. WarDosAnjos and Abig both have good post to like ratios. If you want to point out why he's wrong, you should be able to argue and explain it. Pointing to no likes on a post as a sign that it's not spot on doesn't work because sometimes the best medicine is the most bitter to swallow - therefore no likes.
