Comparing Aldo to Fedor isn't the same, the HW division doesn't have the same stats at the LW division.
The only logical comparison of HW can go as low as Silva at middleweight. And comparing Aldo's run vs Silva's is fine, but against each other makes no sense.
Fedor actually did fight giants within his division, albeit some not as respected as guys like Cro Cop or Nog, but he fought a lot of former champions. Gsp lost to Serra, Silva lost to Weidman, and broke his own leg, Jones is in the conversation but Forrest also beat Shogun, so let's not forget some of his wins are equally questionable (lacking of war).

I am a huge Fedor fan but I have to disagree. Jones has too much reach. He would destroy Fedors legs until he could catch him with a punch. Fedors grappling is not as special as it used to seem. The last submission victory he has is Tim Silvia in 2008.
Could you imagine if current Jones had competed in old Pride? With his skillset and no testing he would be a destroyer. Remember what he did to Shogun?

I was suggesting Jones would use his reach and volume to methodically beat Fedor up from distance, slowly chipping away at him with jabs, a variety of kicks, and some sneaky elbows. This would gradually "break him down", putting him in a position to be finished, ala Shogun.

Also, nobody want to wrestle with Fedor because he is very technical and he still have tons of core strength.
