Something we don't talk about enough is the fact that Trump has basically been a Trojan Horse for Mitch McConnell and the unpopular aspects of the GOP.

He ran as a populist promising all kinds of economic change but really all he's delivered were tax cuts for the rich and judges beholden to corporate interests.

Even when he has the ability to force the Senate GOP into more stimulus he won't pull the trigger.

I'm interested in seeing what happens, and nervous. We see the bulk of violence from the left right now because it's the right who holds the power and is represented, the left feels voiceless and there are some pretty major catalysts to the protests. It's not right and I hope the violence ends today, but it's not surprising given the circumstances.

On the right, we have the FBI telling us to be vigilant. Every time I've seen someone on here lusting after a civil war, and I've seen it over a dozen times, it's been a right winger every single time.

The left is causing property damage to be heard, but what does it look like when you have right wingers who feel they need to take arms because mail in ballots flip the initial results from election night and that it's an illegal takeover by the Democrats? Those are two very different goals and methods of fighting, and one is a hell of a lot scarier than the other.

I have to say, I've not seen anything by the right to calm my nerves there. There are a lot of psychos who push the most extreme narrative, and there's a lot who have shown they will turn a blind eye to basically anything if it benefits them politically. And Trump is giving the worst possible answers there, literally telling right wing militia groups to stand by.
