Interesting fight. If Cop was at his best and Stipe was a little less than his best, he might get sparked. This is heavyweight. But Stipe at his best is very solid all around and would be defensively responsible and land punches on Cop. Heavyweight showdowns between two good strikers can always be pretty volatile.

Of course, was a good trap he set. He turned and ran and lured stipe right onto it.

Still, stipe was owning him. Don’t you remember that? Wasn’t close aside from that punch. Stipe is a better striker.

Both weren't good but schuab was much more athletic than Struve. Struve atheltism is non existent.

He makes up for it in toughness though.He wouldn't have beaten Stipe and Marcos if he didn't have it. Schaub was catching KO's in nearly all his losses, almost embarrassing Cro Cop couldn't get it done.

But it destroys your argument either way. If someone like Struve could beat stipe when they were both young.

Crop cop could definitely do it. We won't even mention a young fedor either lol.

Schuab beat an worn crop cop who was already fighting for 10 yrs plus.

Context matters.

I think styles make fights, I think he could possibly beat Stipe, but he'd lose to somebody like Velasquez, Stipe likes to stand up and I think CroCop had more 'stand up weapons'

Cro Cop could have beaten Gonzaga in his first outing and Kongo, he was a far superior striker than both. If only Struve and Schaub hadn't both retired and were matched up against one another, this would've been settled. Being an amazing kickboxer, Cro Cop should've handled Schaub with ease.

Doesnt matter how much skill you have when your not 25yrs old.

Father of time damages all fighters, that why you see legends get beat by guys who are younger as they age. You think chuck liddell would've lost to kieth jardine, tito, and even rich franklin... Of course not . He became a worn fight like the rest .

Chuck is honestly a tad overrated though... I like Chuck, don't get me wrong but he was champion when better fighters were overseas. Cro Cop retired on the longest win streak in his career and only retired when he had a heart murmur or something like that, I'm not sure the exact problem.

Sure. But I specifically mention the fighters he lost too. I don't think he loses to any of the guys listed above when he was younger.

The man has a decision over Barnett and a finish of Herring.

That guy was decapitated by Gonzaga less than a year after.


He beat one good HW in that tourney...and that guy fought Nog earlier in the night
 
in a ring nobody but Fedor beats Crocop aside from Nog i guess because it happened but you cant run from him in a ring and you cant cage stall and use the wall for leverage in a take down. In a ring you have to launch a legit td and no one is taking prime cc down without eating something nasty and fight ending. In a cage Crocop loses to Stipe and maybe a few strong wrestlers.

And CC was kO'd by Randleman...who was finished in 2 of 3 prior and never had a meaningful win sgain.
