News Former Welterweight champ Tyron Woodley reportedly has parted ways with the UFC

Are you serious man? wtf lol
I’m dead serious.
I’d love to see Masvidal vs Lima, but Mas wins that shit imo. He’d kill MVP worse than Lima did, as well as Neiman Gracie, or Storley. Come on man. I like Bellator too, but Mas would wreck shop in there.

He fell off rapidly as most do... not surprised with the cut or the decline TBH.

He's been in the UFC for a long ass time fighting top contenders everytime. It happens to everyone who fights long enough. GSP and Khabib just too smart to fall for the trap

Yes, who can forget the stellar barn burner that was Woodley vs Maia...
<LikeReally5>

Heheh. Never said they were the greatest of fights - hell one of them wasn't even a W. But he still left the octagon with the belt draped over his shoulder each time.

Mas beats Amosov, Berkhamov and Koreshkov also, right? {<jordan}

Dude is 0-4 against Bellator fighters yet you would pick him against these guys who are even better than the guys who he lost to already

I’d certainly favor him over all 3. He’d kill Koreshkov probably. Amosov and Berkhamov are harder to judge, we just haven’t seen the, against enough top competition. If you’re trying to judge Masvidal today based on losses he had 10 years ago or whatever, you’re sadly mistaken.

Ehhh Tyron looking for dollars. Not sure he wins without landing a big shot early. Paul is decent at boxing and obvs doing some USADA unsanctioned shit. He dropped askren pretty easily. The best peds are expensive and Paul’s got money. Without the takedown threat most likely Woodley gets KOd like his wiener vs that raccoon.
Tyron is not great, but at least has power and a good overhand right, he could make it a fight, and take some horsemeat for him too.

Woodley got his title shot off a split decision win over Kelvin fucking Gastelum.... that should say it all but in case it doesn't, his best win after was a "flukey" punch against Lawler and then the submission win over in, in my opinion overrated and untested, Darren Till.

Dude got lucky basically and fought below average guys or guys out of their prime or after wars. The Condit win was an injury if I remember correctly. He also got dismantled by Rory Macdonald. Put on the worlds most boring fights against wonder boy and maia...I mean even ben askren had a more entertaining fight with maia than woodley. Dude was overrated as hell

Then you factor in his personality!!! Hes not even top 10 all time. Maybe top 20. Now his rap music on the other hand...

Did u see him vs raccoon? He lost. Handily.

I always liked Jorge but you're overrating him and his level of competition. He beat retired Askren (even Jake Paul beat that version of Askren), Nate Diaz LOL and Till who is 1-3 in his last 4 with the only with by split against Kelvin who is 1-4 in his last 5 and before that he lost to Maia and Wonderboy back to back

Be realistic, just because he's in the UFC that doesn't make him a better fighter than the Bellator guys.

Bendo literally beat Masvidal and went to Bellator and got his ass kicked by Koreshkov for 5 rounds. Nobody "killed" Koreshkov except Lima and Jorge is nowhere on Lima's level

Watch an almost 40-year old corpse of Woodley go to Bellator, lose to Lima and have the UFC-hating casuals say "sEe i tOLd yOu bELlaToR fIGhtErS aRe BeTtEr!!"
Does Woodley deserve Lima? He loses to most if not all of the top 10 in Bellator. Woodley is shot, he's done.

Let me ask you this: who wins if Masvidal fought MVP?

Woodley only had one KO in his title defenses. It was against Till. Masvidal did the same thing to Till around the same time.
I thought Woodley submitted Till? Huh?

He knocked Till down then submitted him.

Masvidal beats MVP 7 or 8 times out of 10.

Why pick MVP? I didn't even include him on my list. I listed you other fighters
Because he’s the #1 ranked welterweight in the Bellator rankings, that’s why. So don’t tell me Mas couldn’t do well in Bellator. If he signed with Bellator right now and fought the #1 contender at 170, he’d win 8 times out of 10, by your own admission.

Ohh well, head up man you only lost too the former bellator welterweight champ, the current UFC welterweight champ, the former UFC interim champ, a former UFC title challenger, and an absolute killer on the up & up!

Woodley has always been one of my favorite fighters. I hope he has made enough in his career to retire and not have to fight anymore.

I hope he moves on to successful ventures. Hes actually been my favorite WW for a long time. Rooted for him in every fight even the boring ones. Sucks he went out like that

One exciting defense. My complaint is more him having issues pulling the trigger if anything, give Woodley a mindset of a prime Hughes or Condit, I think he'd still be champion or at the very least just coming to an end of a run as champ.
During his defenses he seemed to always be afraid of gassing and after wards he seemed afraid of making any mistakes. But I agree with you
