Opinion Kamala Harris Blames Climate Change for the Border Crisis

Dems like to blame everything on the weather. Its weather dummies, weather changes!

Deserts all over the world are growing exponentionally and furtile land is shrinking because of climat change that has been a known fact for over 40 years.
I learned about it in elementary school in early to mid 70's, some 45 years ago and it only got worse.
So yes climate change is 100% part of the reason why people from those places cannot stay there anymore.
Here in Europe we will get many more people from Africa in the comming years, simply because Africa is turning into 1 big desert.
But I don't care since we in the first world nations are mostly responsible for it, we should get the bill for it as well.

Take one line from a 13 minute speech on an issue. Somehow misread that line. Post shit thread on sherdog complaining about single, misread line. Sounds about right.
She said it’s factor....how else are you supposed to read that? That’s a ridiculous statement and she sounds like an idiot. This hypocrit is doing a LL the things she slammed Trump for and hasn’t even been to the border, and laughed when asked about it....why do you let you blind partisan allegiance blind you? It’s ok to be honest and see things for what they are....Trump was a scumbag, so is she.

North of Africa has been one big desert for "ever", what are you talking about new deserts? And Africa is becoming more humid even closer to deserts like Sahara and Namib.

Sahara will become a savanah again, once the earth tilts back enough in about 15000 years

I wonder if this has anything to do with Europe being flooded by African immigrants?

High child mortality rates mean you need more kids just to ensure some survive. And they're your retirement plan in a country with no social security and limited healthcare. So yeah, logic.

It's the opposite of logic though.

"Look at all these malnourished kids starving to death around me, maybe I should have 10 of my own ?!?!"

You're in the middle of a famine and civil war with not enough food for anyone and everybody is always starving, but let's add 10 more mouths to feed?

What could possibly go wrong?

been seeing a lot of these videos about how climate change has been dwindling businesses in South America hard, & the pandemic just made that even worse. like in Ecuador, people who go to the mountain tops to carve out ice to sell to other local businesses - the ice is getting harder to find. in Mexico, candle makers can't get their hands on wax as easily anymore because bees have died out etc.

so what happens when they no longer have the means to earn? they look to the "land of opportunity".
You're falling for an illogical slant on the issue.

First, nobody knows why bees are disappearing. Climate change is NOT speculated as one of the leading causes. Second, if climate change were responsible for the collapse of job availability, the first world would similarly be affected, because we also reside on this planet. If one opportunity or source of revenue disappears, there is another to be found. No such collapse of jobs is correlated to climate change on a global level. If we were talking about food availability to less sophisticated cultures, like the disappearing fish populations in some places, then that would be a more compelling argument.

But starvation isn't a chief cause driving migrants to our borders. The only place where starvation has had a pronounced effect is in Venezuela, and there starvation is the result of socialist economic policies.

This isn’t a secret that this is the talking point bow .. CNN caught on tape talking about driving the climate narrative too bad there isn’t scientist facts to back it up .. just like “ systematic racism “ a catch all phrase .. “ climate crisis”
I was about to post the same thing, but yeah whats missing from the arguments here is that simp from cnn caught on tape beforehand blabbering on about setting the climate change narrative next. Now we have Harris somehow fitting climate-change into a immigration speech.

They want iPhones. My moms a lifelong Democrat but even she slips and say something like this every once in a while. Nicaragua is poor AF but it sure AF isn’t 1993 levels anymore no ones starving to death. The political situation with Daniel is something else but he’s down with the ccp he ain’t going anywhere gotta practice acceptance I guess. Venezuela is a clusterfuck that I can’t wrap my head around.

How is that working again today’s world of decades long food and financial aide?
Oh that’s right, it’s not exactly the same situation as it was when BBC initially got out the footage with malnourished and bloated kids with flys in their eyes.
Don’t try to justify stupid shit by brushing it off as something that makes sense.

Are you saying there isn't high child mortality rates in Africa?

I.. I just told you what the logic was. Is two sentences really too much for you to read? A lot of kids die, so more kids are insurance. Those kids tend to become a source of work and take care of the parents when they're too old to work in place of a stable government providing a safety net for dependables.

By your logic, things were much better for Europe in the Middle Ages when the average life expectancy was 30 and they had a dozen kids on average. Is that what you're arguing?

Has anyone ever spoken to a Mexican about why they came to America, and got "climate change" as the answer?

That’s what all my people say.

Every time.

Is this a joke?

You’re joking right?

Please be joking. Please..

Where do you see global warming killing the Ecuador ice business. The only articles I can find on Ecuador ice mining are talking about this single guy and his family:

And they retired because it wasn't economically feasible anymore. You know, since people have freezers and can make their own ice.

Worded that way? Probably not. But you're definitely going to get looking for work as one answer and escaping drug violence as another.

Whether it be extreme tropical storms destroying infrastructure or drought destroying crops, opportunity for work is 100% impacted by climate change. And one of the consequences to that is drugs become one of the few stable sources of income, leading to a rise in cartel power and violence.

And again, she said it was a factor, not the factor. It's definitely something that will continue to progress given the current trend.
