While he may be right (I cant say), as a leader and officer its never a good idea to go this route during your service. Internal discussions with equal or superior leadership but not books and such..... the military is about keeping guys in the ranks aligned and moving forward regardless of the commander or senior leadership or the machine begins to breakdown imo.

I subscribe to a lot of socialist philosophers. Many of them dont subscribe to ML-Socialism or Identity politics... Zizek, for example.
Progressives contradicts theirselves with following Marx' ideologies anyways; they want to discard racist history along with the societal contributions that came along with them, yet champion Marxism despite the fact that Marx was a staunch racist.
