Opinion Why are college educated people more liberal?

I think it is a combination of being young and being in a liberal environment

Nearly every statistic shows blue collar votes have shifted steadily to the right and you call it a joke? Delusion
almost all advocates for unions, higher minimum wage, worker rights etc are on the left. Name one republican who has had the consistent pro workers rights message Sanders has had for decades (hint: you cant) The right is & always has been about lining pockets with corporate lobbying money with an absolute Darwinian mentality. You will find very little union support from the right..they consistently vote against rasing minimum wage. The idea that the right is the working mans party is simply absurd. The fact that anyone would even dispute this is even moreso laughable.

What you mean to say is that its the bigots party, which is something entirely different

Not so long ago college students had to learn Greek, Latin, and a third language to be considered educated. They did complex mathematics without a calculator.

their penmanship was superb and they could actually write papers.

non of these people would be liberal today

Many people in college today do not get any real education. They just get social indoctrination and told they are smart Bc they vote Democratic. Nobody is impressed with “polls” about the “educated”
Not so long ago?

Tell me how long?

lets pull up the voting records of democratic and republican politicians on workers rights related legislation shall we?

i was told by me ol momma that in college i would get marked on how well i wrote and not on my opinion. May have been true when she went to university.
I got a zero on a 2,000 word essay regarding how the government should treat natives. My prof wrote 2,400 words in red ink, not one of them to do with grammar, sentence structure or punctuation. Funny thing was i was a big liberal then, and i was writing as though i were my ‘bigoted’ uncle to test out how my mom’s words would hold up.
Anyways, it didnt bother me, then, as i wasnt enjoying school anyways, and i forgot about it, but when i hear the Jordan Peterson’s of the world speak now, it makes me wonder if that was one prof or the way things were.
That was 1994.
You were at University to learn about Grammar, sentence structure & punctuation?

They're exposed to new ideas and get to formulate their own opinions vs. what they've learned from their previously smaller groups/social circles. They get to see people from different countries and all walks of life and they find out that they're just people, the same as they are.

That’s why the populists are taking over the party and it’s the party of the American worker. Donald trump began that.

the tariffs were to bring our jobs back and the democratic party that is beholden to the globalists did everything in their power to stymie the tariffs

You can’t be the party of globalism and open borders and pretend to be for the worker, but here you are trying to do so

You are a russian who has done his research, and for that you are commended

There are class, knowledge, and critical thinking components for sure, but the biggest factor it seems is social exposure. And it tracks across all countries. The idea that educational systems across the world are unanimously involved in a conspiracy to indoctrinate people (into...being unafraid of other people? Seeking more equal distributions of income? Believing in science?) is very silly.

And they lean poor. Liberal arts degrees are toilet paper

This is a based on the misconception that personal profitability is the only purpose of educational training and that personal betterment and knowledge are not ends in themselves.

I'd say liberal arts degrees are actually more valuable, to individuals and to society, than a lot of other degrees. Without that sort of education, the world would be a massive sweatshop devoid of critical self-reflection or possibility for improvement. Of course, that's not to say that many persons don't get use, professional or otherwise, out of their degrees due to their college education being purely a fulfillment of social expectations.
