Coronavirus not very megathread.

Honestly, the implications are just too much to fathom...

Funny enough, in response to the above tweet, someone tries to discuss reality and she up and disappears, a lot like what happens here.

<Huh2>

PS.

Reading other responses to this council woman's tweet, she is getting blasted on her own twitter feed... I can't imagine how this is all going to shake out, people are pissed, and rightly so!

This has been happening pretty much for 16 months.. lying then going silent.. no accountability.. the whole thing is a sham..

So, we're gonna get a couple weeks in the sun here in blighty and then it's lockdowns again I reckon.

R number is 1.6 so cases are rising 50% a week (currently 43,000). That's not taking into account the effect of the Wembley stadium football crowd.

Of course it's just cases, deaths are at about 40 a day, but you need to remember we are much better at treating the hospitalised, too many hospitalised and we have the spectre of people dying at home again, untreated.

Boris stopped saying relaxing of measures was a one way thing a couple of weeks ago. Hancock now saying new measures incoming.

Fucking annoying. Please go away covid.

Per Jeremy Hunt today:
“The warning light on the NHS dashboard is not flashing amber, it is flashing red,” he told BBC’s Radio 4 Today programme. “Covid hospital patients are doubling every two weeks. That means we are heading for 10,000 Covid hospital patients by the end of August, which is about 20 times higher than this time last year. It is a very serious situation.”

Quite amazing that this could be the case despite all of the vaccination thats taken place since last year when there were none. I genuinely thought at this time last year, that this August would see this thing starting to wind down. I think its just been a constant tug-of-war between health and the economy that is leading to this endless cycle of lockdown-reopening. Govt seem determined to press ahead with a return to normal, but the warnings from scientists and even other countries are pretty stark.

Sad to see.

Arkansas leads nation in COVID-19 case rate as vaccinations lag; study touts benefits of second shot: Live updates

"Arkansas continues to be the nation's top state for new cases per capita, and only 35% of the state's population is fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The virus appears to be largely sparing vaccinated people from the most severe illness.

"Of all of our critically ill COVID positive patients at Baptist Health facilities, none have been fully vaccinated," said Stephanie Whitaker, chief nursing executive for Baptist Health, a major healthcare provider in the state.

The state's Department of Health said there are 240 COVID-19 patients in the state's ICUs and 118 on ventilators. Only 4% of the state's intensive care unit beds are available."

"What has Bolsonaro said about Covid?
The president has been highly sceptical about the need to take decisive action to tackle the pandemic:

  • he has called Covid "just a little flu"
  • rejected a nationwide lockdown, saying such measures only made the poor poorer
  • called state governors and mayors who imposed lockdown "tyrants"
  • cast doubts on the efficacy and safety of jabs and said he wouldn't get vaccinated
  • joked the Pfizer jab may "turn people into crocodiles"
  • dismissed opportunities to purchase millions of vaccine doses
  • told people to "stop whining" about the situation"

Ours is much worse. If it wasn't for governors' pressure we would still be stuck with only AZ for vaccination, while the federal government still try to push useless shit like chloroquine and ivermectin.

Senate investigation about federal response to the pandemic is going VERY badly for Bolsonaro. While he still have some loyal (read $$$) support in the House I wouldn't be surprised if he is ousted before the end of his term.

The masks are back in the bay area. It's a suggestion rather than being enforced, doesn't really change much for me being I have to at work, and if I'm in a bar or restaurant you take them off anyway. So really it's just in shops, and I don't do the grocery shopping often.

Hope you're all doin okay!
Just be a good girl and wear the f'king mask.
It's about not infecting others more than about protecting yourself.

As a former medical professional, this just saddens me to no end. She was a victim of propaganda. :(

DANGIT! GET VACCINATED!

PLEASE!

We don't have any government mandates, but it is a bummer that your ability to weigh the risks and rewards and make your own decisions depends on which state you live in.

I had so fun just drinking with some people and felt the urge again to talk too random strangers and buy people sinks and just have fun. What a great night. COVID hopefully won’t punish me for ot. I also am someone’s boss now, 4 people. Hurrray Jesus

Imagine being this soy about 0.001% risk of dying unless you're old

Why do people want it mandated so much? No one says you can't wear a mask. Between a mask and a vaccine, how much more protection do they need?
They hate freedom and want to destroy the founding principles of this nation in the name of soy anxiety

Imagine hiding out for years in a cuck potato cellar hammering away on your soy keyboard about how people who are living normal lives are murderers and loons. The rampant mental soy illness among maskmaxxers and fauci dick riders is out in full display

After teen daughter hospitalized with Covid, mom regrets saying no to vaccine

"It's heartbreaking. I wish I would've made better choices for her," said an Arkansas mother of her 13-year-old daughter, hospitalized with Covid-19.

Angela Morris said she resisted Covid-19 vaccinations for herself and her 13-year-old daughter believing that other preventative measures, like mostly staying home and wearing masks, would be enough to ward off infection.

"I am so scared right now and I feel so helpless," she posted.

I'm praying for that young lady and her family.

Maybe she should of thought of that before feeding her 10 big macs a day..

If your child is that Obese then you should go to jail for child abuse.

90% of all covid cases are caught in homes

Catching covid outside is near impossible since you need to be in close contact with an infected for a good 15 minutes+

Anywhere indoors with good ventilation also stops that

The pandemic has been going on close to two years so we have enough population data to know that masks do nothing

zero ziltch

People like you are as bad as the vaccine deniers in this regard

Just ignore the science and go on "feels"
