A Thread About Bellator Salaries, Link Included

Those fighters are usually already signed to other orgs where they make their “living wage.”
no one signed to orgs smaller than Bellator is making their living off of it.

the handful of Bellator athletes ive worked with were all on their first or second contract with the company and all were making between 6-12k to show, 6-12k to win depending on how the deal was structured, which fight on their contract they were on, etc.

Maybe only top guys in places like KSW, ACA, and ONE, but that’s also since lots of those guys live in places with way cheaper costs off living

LOL at thinking these early prelim guys in Bellator are making any decent sponsorship money. L.O.L. Get your head out of your ass.
Shills always make excuses just look on the new thread in Ufc that sokouju fanboy the biggest one.

I have no idea what you are trying to say. Something about Mickey Gall, I guess. Could you maybe use better grammar and punctuation?

michey gall didnt make 5k in the ufc on a tryout like belaltor fighters make. jake hager wasnt making 5k he made 75k.

Dude your arguments are pathetic. Jake Hager already had a name and that’s why he didn’t have to try out. Just stop responding with you’re tired ass arguments, it’s pretty pathetic. You hate Bellator and Scott Coker, we get it.

so making more than 10 times who he fighting is fair?

i hate how the mob thinks everything the ufc does is evil but boxing bellator and pfl are perfect

Let me correct that. If you’re in a position of having to try out for Bellator, you’re not a top dog in whatever smaller organization you fight for. The good thing about Bellator’s tryout business model is you’re not locked in long-term. If you lose the fight, you’re free to return to wherever you were fighting and continue to build your resume. Fighters can make a living wage in a smaller organization but you have to be the king of the hill, a big fish in a small pond.

so the bellator fighters who have 4 or 5 prelim fights an make 5k or less each time is fair?

Most of the ones who have that many fights for them don't make that though.

Also I've seen argument from Russian fighters -- unlike UFC, Bellator allows you to compete in other sports (like, Kharitonov competed in boxing and bare knuckles and maybe even in kickboxing while being under Bellator contract). And sometimes Bellator allows fighters to compete under mma rules in non-American promotions.

Nobody engage this guy until he addresses the fact that Bellator splits revenues at 45%, comparable with major sports leagues, but the UFC is 18%. If Bellator were handing out bigger checks for prelim guys they’d go bankrupt. Since you’re such a genius business man, how would you fix this.

so when will someone call out scott coker for this kind of fighter pay. if this was a ufc fight people would be outrages saying how can you make a living off 4k.

there are a few fighters who make less than the ufc min .

so where the same outrage for fighter pay in all mma companies and boxing.

You want to talk about cheap pay lets look at UFC 263 PPV Event vs BELLATOR 263 non PPV for the main event payout and total payouts.

UFC 263 pay for the main event.

Isreal Adesanya $500,000 no win bonus def. Marvin Vettori $350,000

BELLATOR 263 pay for main event.
Paticio Pitbull $250,000 vs. A.J. McKee $150,000 - winner receives $1,000,000 win bonus. The winner of this event will take in double the amount Isreal Adesanya made for a PPV event.

UFC 263 pulled in $42,000,000 + million and total payout to all fighters on the card was $3,233,000 which is only 7.7% of total take. I will deduct $3,000,000 for promotion and other expenses the UFC made $35,767,000 million profit.

BELLATOR 263 will only pull in Gate $$$$ and total payout to fighters with only larger win bonuses added for the full fight total $2,191,000 million. Most likely this will be a 50/50 split in revenue/fighter pay.

Looking at the full picture UFC pays lower than 10% from its total take. BELLATOR pays close to 50% of its total take to its fighters.

So its the UFC that are not paying its fighters a fair wage.

Izzy gets PPV points to be fair so I'm not sure what he actually took home, but it'll be more than that I imagine.

How do guys like Kiefer Crosbie manage to get a 50k show-money with Bellator? And Georgi is 75k, the highest show-money on the event outside the main-event!

They have very good agents. I have no idea how Kiefer is making more than Goiti. That's bizarre.

The numbers I posted for Izzy were posted 10 days after the PPV so they are accurate.

Bellator let a bunch off their European fighters fight for regional promotions since they weren’t holding shows

There’s a symbiotic relationship at play between the smaller organizations and the big ones. The bigger orgs Get to pick and choose fighters from these development leagues and basically steal their top prospects. In exchange the smaller organizations get to boast to the up-and-coming fighters but they have a direct channel to The big shows. Titan FC, LFA, even invicta I’ll have business models based off of the idea that if you fight for them and perform well then your next step is into Bellator or the UFC.
