Olympic Boxing thread: Every night Starting 7/23.

Aliev is still in the ring. Basically pulling a Michael Conlan

They are not gonna remove him.

He's staging a sit in protest

My opinion is that it doesnt really matter. It was an even fight but the winner would lose to Jalolov anyway

Its a good thing his bout was the last fight of the session.

Not sure what they wouldve done if there was another match after this

Hes certainly gotta take a piss before then

Well that was an interesting lot of boxing for the Brits. McCormack through because of an injured opponent. Now he has the Cuban in the final for which he's a clear underdog.

Whittaker did well to totally stymy Khataev. I thought he might give him a few problems due to his slick style but he really made it hard for him to get going. He now has Lopez in the final who looked good in his bout. I don't think Whitaker can just evade Lopez like he did to Khataev.

And Clarke got through on the DQ and is through to the SHW semi-final. Don't see him having much chance of beating Jalolov though.

Anyway that's 2 Silver's and a Bronze guaranteed for Britain

Duke Ragan and Keyshawn Davis back to back after this fight

Olympic gold medalist was winning this fight and it got stopped due to a cut. Now hes out

Tanaka vs Palaam is gonna be JUST BLEED

Duke Ragan should win easily, and make it to the finals

close fight with Ghana going on that round.

Duke Ragan reminds me of Tim Bradley his fighting style

I dont like Keyshawn's fighting style. Too defensive

Mamedov tried to throw him and but threw himself on the ground

wow. ANother KO>?

That was a sweet combination and wobbled him

McCormack on BBC iPlayer now. Let's see if he can get the gold
