This may actually be one of the greatest candidate interviews I have ever seen. Larry Elder went face to face with at least a dozen Newspaper Reporters from the State of California who thought they were loaded for bear to bring him down, and he smashed them into little pieces.

My favorite comment from those that have watched it was....

"Man knowingly gets thrown into a tank full of sharks, emerges with sushi in hand. Great responses! I'm surprised this video even got published by Sac Bee considering how thoroughly embarrassed they were by Elder."

This is incredibly entertaining and only gets better and better as you watch it. Seriously, pop some corn... it's that good.

Larry has my vote.

"Leftist newspapers"

You mean liberal

I see Liberals as those with open minds and critical thinking skills. Examples would be: Glen Greenwald, Krystal Ball, Jimmy Dore, etc.

These reporters are Leftists into CRT, Trans, etc... they are more of the CNN type Leftists and not Liberals. That's how I see it.

If you watch the video, you will see the difference I am speaking of. I think it would be amazing to see Larry Elder go up against an actual Liberal like Glenn Greenwald. We would learn they have a lot in common on some issues, that's not the case with Leftists.

i didn't watch all of the video but what I saw I enjoyed. If I lived in California I'd vote for Larry Elder. Hope he does well.

The current left is very easy to smash, but they think they win in places like this with name calling and being joke humans.

inb4 comments about him being a radio host and comparisons to Trump

You're not a joke?
No. Those who literally don’t know how to act like adult men are. You and you’re group. Dangerous joke humans that 96% of the planet would think your ideas are comical insanity, acting enlightened for following those you were resisting like last week. It’s you. It’s your other accounts other ardent leftists. It’s the ones who spout logical fallacy after logical fallacy.

had me fooled.

It's "You and your"

A fan of Elder, so I put it on in the background. Good stuff, always able to cite studies/reports that support his statements.

Liberal generally refers to socially liberal. Mainstream media tends to be socially liberal but at the same time they push a pro war and pro corporate agenda. When I hear leftist newspaper I'm thinking outlets like the Intercept and Jacobin.

Haven't watched but I'm guessing they focus on Trump and January 6th instead of his terrible economic positions.

Larry's sharp as a whip. He has a really damn good memory to be able to spout off dates and sources of articles/studies for almost any topic. I can't say I agree with all his positions but I think he's a solid person and would by far exceed that slimeball Newsom. Unfortunately for him he's running in California where who you know matters more than what you know, that and that CA is a de facto 1 party state.

CA is a de facto 1 party state.

facts don't support this at all. CA has had a large number of republican governors and there are in fact more registered republicans in CA than the south eastern states combined.

Yeah but it's almost impossible for them to overcome San Francisco and LA, who will surely vote democrat no matter who the candidate is.

The interview covered a myriad of subjects and Elder smashed it out of the park. It's entertaining for sure.

That doesn't matter for a governor race. For the gop to win the Governor they need to have better ideas. A Trump-Republican is going to do poorly in California because it doesn't meet the needs of most Californians. I haven't lived near Cali for over a decade so i really don't know what the hot local issues are and which candidates are addressing them. Cali is like 48% dem, 25 gop and 25 independent. If the gop has good ideas they can sway those indys and some dems, as they have done in the past.

That's completely irrelevant as California is the most populated State in the Union. In it's current form it is without a doubt a de facto 1 party state. There's a supermajority in the State Legislature, Newsom won the last election by 3 million votes and 20% (biggest margin of victory since 1950), and the last US Senate general election was between 2 Democrats.

Additionally:

"In October 2020, California had 22,047,448 registered voters, comprising 87.87% of its total eligible voters. Of those registered voters, 10,170,317 (46.10 percent) were registered Democrats, 5,334,323 (24.20 percent) were Republicans and, 5,283,853"

That's essentially 2-1 and only widening. Maybe check your facts, because nothing you said holds up in 2021.

dudes a trumper...he should be embarrassed and dismissed...even though he had a couple of good points.
