Too late

Lol he thinks Chinese dont have C130s and humvees? Its not like we left state of the art nukes or F22 raptor

Refreshing to see a known liberal poster admit this withdrawal is Biden’s failure.

It's not that at all, these types of vehicles require constant maintenance and spare parts that they simply won't have access to.

Can they figure out how to take off? Sure, and I'm sure there are some trained inviduals left behind, but eventually they will just break down.
This is a level of reaching that is beyond comedy at this point. They shouldn’t have access to any of this stuff, yet here you are saying “dude they will break down eventually” Jesus Christ

So you wanted to send all remaining 2500 troops around the country to strip the ANA of their arms before leaving first?

What the hell are you talking about?

The equipment the Taliban captured was equipment provided by the US government to the Afghan National Army. Did you want us to take it all back with the 2,500 American troops still remaining in the country before we left so it would not fall to the Taliban?

Why do you think warlords have Mig russian fighters on their front lawns? Because they couldn't fly or maintain them. Imagine buying a discontinued car and needing to source parts. You either pull them off of other vehicles or you go through the nightmare that car restorers due and machine the parts yourself. Anyone who restores cars knows that that is way more expensive the original item was worth.

Some of you need to really get your head checked about this because Trump was negotiation a withdraw with the Taliban without the Afghan government present. I think some of you are deluding yourselves if you think everyone didn't know back then that the Afghan government would just straight up and collapse. We even got the Taliban to promise to break all ties with Al-Qaeda. We basically just said, "hey we are leaving. Can you please not work with Qaeda and we will leave you alone if you don't do anymore stupid shit? I will leave the keys to the country in the mailbox on the way out."

If you get angry over global politics then you are a brainwashed sheep. It has nothing to do with you and you contributed nothing to the decisions that lead to it. You are just a peon being ruled by oligarchs under the guise of "democracy" just lol@being emotionally invested

If you actually felt real emotion from this situation then seek immediate help

I dont get why this isnt being used as a defense more for Biden

Legit it belongs to Afghan army. It just so happens Afghan army leadership and many rank and file support Taliban, didnt put up fight and now those weapons are Talibans and now Taliban is the Afghan army and will and is being recognized

I think getting mad over fighter pay also is brain washed.

I dont know why so many guys here want to give men they dont know who are already rich and entitled even more money. Giving fighters tons of cash actually ruins MMA as everyone stops being hungry, ducking etc

That’s an embarrassing strawman. Lol, from my post, what on earth makes you think I’m implying 2500 servicemen should be in charge of securing that stuff?

the overall withdrawal handed this stuff to them is my point. Biden provided it on a silver platter

My original post still stands that you are hilarious. “Dude the equipment will eventually break down” is beyond comic book levels

What do you think should have been done to keep the Afghan army's equipment from falling into Taliban hands?

Anything than how it was handled as of the Joe Biden Administration

Your post implies that because in reality that's all we had in the country when the ANA was disintegrating. So you're either in favor of putting them in harms way to take the equipment back or just reinvading Afghanistan to take it back.

And yeah, in the grand scheme of all the terrible things that happened in the country, and will happen in the country, the Taliban getting some outdated and used troop transports isn't the worst thing by a long shot that will happen and is preferred IMO, instead of risking American lives to recapture those used and outdated troop transports.

I know there are other brother/sisters in arms that are watching the Afgan situation and are angered and disgusted by what we are seeing. I've tried to tune in out but I just saw a pic of a Taliban fighter taking pics in an C-130 that was left behind and it's hard to describe the feeling.

I'm SO fucking angry right now!!!
So disappointed
So saddened
So frustrated

The culmination of the failures in our leaders is astounding. 20 Years lost, $2 Trillion+ wasted, 2,400 servicemen dead, who knows how many innocent civilians..... From Bush, to Obama, to Trump, and finally Biden. All fucked things up.

That said, this current fuck up is completely on Biden. The withdrawal was a complete failure. Biden owns every bit of it. I voted for him and I say that.

There's also the difficult realization that we lost. We lost the war in Afghanistan. You can't look at it any other way.

We also lost Vietnam and Korea. It's better to take the L and keep moving instead of losing more troops and burning more money. We need to learn from this and stop letting our politicians push these bullshit wars.

What do you think they're going to do with it? Invade their neighbors?
