UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2

wow wow my bad guys, just saying Hollands fists took a beating which is true
You're not wrong. I remember both guys eating some serious shots all fight long. Holland obviously got the worse of it, but he cracked WB quite a few times.

I really like the Karl Williams inside the distance at +115.
I don't think Sherman has what it takes to survive on the ground with Williams. I think he gets him out of there with a club and sub eventually.

Think I like rob font at 2.50

Big fan of Adrian but it's a big step up for him in quality of opponent and on paper, a step down for Font.

Adrian has been finishing guys quite early but Font is very tough to put away. I think it'll be a lot more competitive but I think it might be a similar case to Barboza Vs Hooker where the vet is an underdog after a couple of losses against the elite of the division while the younger guy has finished a few opponents and the odds flip a bit.

Like I said, don't think rob will put a beating on Adrian but I think he'll avoid getting sparked early, the fight drops to a more measured affair and Rob works his strikes behind his stellar jab. Dunno whether I'll be playing it straight or looking for the by Dec prop if it's nicely priced.

I thought I made this post a few days ago but couldn't see anything - apologies if did, probably early onset dementia (or adult onset down syndrome)

If you guys like Font take his ML.

If you like Yanez then I'd recommend to let it past the first round and then bet him live. Yanez lost the first rounds to bums before and it would be nothing new. Don't think 3 rounds favors Yanez. Not much time to get his game going.

I feel the same.

He did land plenty early on, it's a fair point.

Still way too much a flake to pay huge juice on. WAY too much.

Exactly. And you know Ponz is gonna be trying to win and being aggressive. I could easily see the judges siding with him. At the end of the day it's a fight.

I think that's the best line here. Sherman has bad TDD and bad getups, he's just fortunate he hasn't faced a lot of wrestlers. Decent wrestlers have made him crumble fast. Williams is definitely a decisioner in general, but that's just on facing guys who survive his gameplan longer than I think Sherman can.

Bet these opening lines:

Gerald Meerschaert @ +250

Sam Hughes @ +330

Cynthia Calvillo @ +275

Luana Pinheiro @ -150

Going to bet Rosas now that he has dropped from -250 to -145

Hedging against my original bets on GM3, Luana Pinheiro, Sam Hughes, Cynthia Calvillo and instead taking the small free-rolls from line movement. I kept my original play on Rosas.

I still believe Sam Hughes has a pretty good chance of winning by decision if she can make it out of the first round. Her opponent Jacqueline Amorim is a good back taker with sloppy takedown entries and has never been out of the first round. This is a big step up in competition for Amorim who has fought almost exclusively low quality opposition but Hughes takedown defense is too bad to back in this spot.

Gerald Meerschaert is in a very tough stylistic matchup that is going to be difficult to win. Joe Pyfer looks to me like the better striker, more powerful striker, and better wrestler both offensive and defensively. Gerald likely doesn't have good enough takedowns to take Pyfer down and is going to be in a lot of trouble on the feet. Pyfer is low volume but has good pressure, doesn't overcommit on his strikes, and has big punching power in both hands. GM3 is scrappy so I wouldn't rule out the fight going the distance but if Pyfer hunts the knockout early I do believe it will come.

Meerschaert has to be P4P most talked about fighter on this whole sub forum <45>

Casuals want Poatan vs Izzy while the gamblers analyze what a fighter eats before they fight Meerschaert

Pyfer decision

Amorims BJJ is world class. I think Hughes is in trouble if she can't stay off the mat.

Also agree with people saying Jorge won't get subbed, whatever you say about the dude his defensive BJJ is superb. Never looked like getting finished really with Maia on his back.

You're a little off because I actually quadrupled my money this month, tuf noob.

But if you hit this prop...you'd be about tripling THAT new amount up, right? You're basically gonna be a billionaire by early 2024 at this pace.

Feel like now is the time for me to make friends with you if I want a shot at a seat on your private jet...

I'll take GM3 and Font, I like big step up in competition fights where the guy being stepped up to isn't washed.

GM3 sooooo hittable though. Keeps his head on the center line, chin up when he throws too often, backs straight up sometimes when pressured. He probably can't take Pyfer down, and I think he's in trouble standing. Just a bad matchup for Gerald imo, and I really like the dude.

I agree it's difficult, but he tends to have a way of ending up on the ground with people. It's a difficult one but with him every time I don't pick him as a dog he wins and I end up feeling silly lol.
