UFC London: Thomas Aspinall vs. Marcin Tybura, July 22

but in ufc it’s different, Ngannou had torn mcl against Gane and he looked awful, didn’t land a single punch on Gane

Uhh, it's harder to wrestle with a ripped up knee than to strike. So Ngannou, who had never really wrestled anyone, actually used that to win with his knee injured.

If anything, that fight shows how guys CAN overcome knee injuries.

All that said, I wouldn't pay -500 on Aspinall coming off that injury. He's **probably** fine. But way too steep until we see him look like he did previously.

Should be a max bet for you then. Word is Aspinall may have a weak body as well.

As for Aspinall never being the same again. Tell that to Adrian Peterson who literally led the league in rushing the year after blowing out his knee.
Definitely susceptible to liver shots

Completely different scenarios. Francis was injured DURING the fight and had surgery afterwards. Aspinall had his injury a year ago, got surgery and went thru extensive rehab and is now healthy.

You're acting like Tom is going into this matchup with a still torn up knee.

Grant is the only dog I like on this card... Maybe Fili to if this was 2 years ago but not anymore
Rooting hard for Aspinall in this one...

Fili could be interesting cuz he's so much taller than Nathaniel, and sometimes looks pretty sharp on the feet.

Only way I touch him is if I'm doing well in the event already tho.

Every fighter claims he or she was injured during a fight

That’s not true. When athletes get injured, they lose physical attributes. They’re also more prone to getting injured. This is well documented by orthopedic surgeons.

Tybura is a bit fairer opponent than Blaydes though. UFC didn't make it easy for Tom to go up the rank but instead blocked him through Blaydes. Tom is younger I think he can endure and beat Tybura.

If fights were today my bets would be

Filho-125
Duncan/Ashmouz-OV 1.5-165
Barbena/Muradov-OV 2.5-120
Pogues-160
Alvarez/Diasekse-UN 2.5-145
parsons-110
Marcos-140
Herbert/Ziam-OV 2.5-140
Muniz/Craig-OV 1.5-140
Mcann/Stoliarenko-OV 1.5-180

There is truth in your words. However, you are overemphasizing it.Sports medicine has come along way and speaking specifically, Aspinall torn his MCL,which is a less complicated and less severe injury to come back to than a torn ACL.He'll be fine.

Not impressed by Parsons at all. He was getting his ass kicked by Renfro last fight. He has a good chin I would give him that. Roberts is imo the much better striker and he could also wrestle Parsons. Roberts is chinny but I think he should win this fight pretty comfortably.

True.

But.

Roberts has one of the worst fight IQ's in MMA history. Can't count all these moments when he has his opponent hurt on the feet then dives for a takedown short after. I can totally see Roberts dominating the fight with his wrestling but then thinking oh fuck this is boring i better strike with him and then he gets KO'd.

I literally lose brain cells every time I watch this guy fight.

Roberts is a walking red flag in my books
Still as you said his wrestling is better.. it's up to him to properly utilize the skills he has and that's the problem hahah
