He lost badly. Already ducking Usyk too. Watch him use the depression excuse again. Fraud

Everybody reasonable thought Fury would have outclassed Francis. It's not on "everybody", it's on Fury for fucking up his preparation.
Its the posts that were very dismissive of any skills he had. Yes they may have an opinion that they thought Fury was going to dominate the fight but the way said it about Francis was very insulting. Sonnen was using 89 Lakers vs the Harlem Globetrotters to illustrate his point on how the fight was going to turn out to be. Or maybe how Anthony Smith being the UFC shill that he is said it about Francis boxing skills being way below average and that he should have stuck with the UFC. At least Cormier and Bisping was able to say very strong points about what Francis boxing can bring even though they though Fury will win

He didn't win fair and square though because it's boxing.

Everybody knew what the decision was going to be regardless of if Fury should've won or not. They were never going to actually let Ngannou win the decision.

Fury landed some big ones. scary big ones that I'm amazed Francis wasn't more effected by. The show of wear on one man's skin to another's isn't always a useful tell in how hard they were struck, but rather a tell to whose flesh is more durable. the forehead cut was likely the effect of a clash of heads that occurred in the second round I believe and was aggravated by a second clash of heads in the third and of course strikes thereafter. They both landed well, I thought. Francis had two big rounds a couple smaller rounds. Fury maybe one big round where he clearly rocked Francis, but otherwise just a good persistence of effective activity. It was a closer fight than I originally thought on the re-watch. Francis missed some real monster shots that Fury was expressively grateful for having gotten out the way of on a couple of occasions.

Francis did a really surprisingly great job in managing the distance, counter striking bravely from the pocket while being tagged and preventing Fury from pressing forward following effective lands. His pace, efficiency and patient commitment to strategy was out of control impressive, and he really did show glimpses of what a big Mike Tyson might have looked like at moments in his movement. Mike's training was spot on and I really hope to see a lot more of it with Francis and hopefully other big boys down the line. Great to see Mike handing down the Cus D'Amato heirloom that he was the pedigree recipient of.

freaking great fight. fight sport history forever shit.

spot on

nevertheless i always get a sense of veiled racism from Tyson, Ngannou, and their whole team/entourage. on twitter as well with guys like Lebron James. we get it, you all want to see the white man lose

and it goes the other way to. Miocic vs Ngannou 1 there was a lot of rasim sentiment in that fight mainly from Croats but from other white people and blacks as well. the way i look at it, it is just two men fighting. there should be anything more signiifcant from it

Funniest was him saying the shot which knocked him down was in the back of the head, and that Francis "didn't land much outside of that."

Dude is sporting a huge black eye and cut across his forehead.

Francis was tagging his ass most of the fight.

Fury outpointed him, but Francis was landing the bigger shots.
I’ve seen that highlight a few times the punch hit him directly in the temple. Clearly not the back of the head. I guess he is just embarrassed. I don’t know how many people could get hit by Francis on the temple like that and just take it. He shouldn’t be embarrassed.

Wanna add, Francis's resilience and ability to wear the power of Fury on his chin is what hugely separated the quality of his showing from that of other big boxing peers like Deontary Wilder. Fury was able to beat Wilder back, down and crush on him, preventing the kinda counter striking that Francis was able to volley, wading thru Fury's attacks. It's not just resilience. Francis couldn't have done this without becoming a truly outstanding heavyweight boxer, but the resilience is what created the exception for his effectiveness.

thank you.

it's fighting, man. there's a lot of pent up aggressions and cultural clashes from the historical to the present that are just going to be inextricable from the public and the fighters' consciousness. let's not forget that "the great white hope" was a loudly outspoken of topic in boxing for most of the 20th century from Muhammad Ali's reign on. So, consider that, Rocky, and all that bullshit as big catalysts to its continuum.

A pen and paper you say? Welp, that settles it then...
On the contrary, I would honestly trust my dog's scoring of a fight more than some people on this site.

Tyson didnt train for that fight, weighed 423lbs or something, a proper camp and taking shit seriously and Francisco doesn't hear the last bell

He took what he thought was gonna be an easy money fight..............................................which it kinda was lol

95-94 fury. but it could have gone either way. tyson was out on his feet for split second in a later round, and threw an illegal elbow. dude won by the skin of his teeth.

boxing has different criteria. damage doesn't trump all. you can win a round by a being more accurate rather than landing more punches.

it wasn't as bad a robbery as fury/wilder 1 or canelo/ggg 1.

Had it 6-4 Fury, could see it up to 6-4 Francis to 7-3 Fury depending on your bias. Francis won PRIDE rules though.

If Francis didn't train and came in at 400lbs, he'd still end Fury's life inside 5 minutes inside a MMA setting.

The fact Fury couldn't handily win 10 of the 10 rounds is beyond pathetic to be honest.

People are scoring the fight on a curve because Francis looked like a boxer, not an MMA fighter trying to box.
To me, it was a shit fight anyway with the only excitement being the knockdown. Both of them looked afraid to engage and there was so little action in the last two rounds it looked like a sparring match.
How could either one of them have cried robbery when neither of them went for it in the final two rounds of what they had to know was a close fight?

277 lbs and trained for 12 weeks according to him. Don't know if your serious really. Give Francis a couple more fights and let them fight again.
