Crime New York has a Brand.... Squatters

Like pulling teeth to get a liberal to admit that people shouldn't be able to break into other people's homes and take over their property.

So fucking weird.

Nope. If you can prove someone broke into your house and took over, they should be removed. You shouldnt be able to merely claim they did and have Cops remove them for you without that determination in place, that's what makes it an illegal eviction.

Your framing is little more than "if I own property I should be able to do whatever I want."

Well, we finally find your absolutely reactionary "choose violence" position. That being said, the fact that you would beat a family for not leaving your property is one of the reasons eviction Courts and process of law exists in the United States. See there's this thing called the Constitution and it guarantees every citizen the right to due process of law. You legally make the claim that they are trespassers/thieves, a court rules in your favor based on evidence, and then law enforcement handles any necessary violence. Before this existed, it was much much easier for the wealthier classes to merely declare someone was trespassing even after receiving payment, and then beating them with canes until they left.

Fuck that.

If they can’t produce a lease, signed by the property owner and some kind proof of payment to the owner, kick their bum asses out

lol at you supporting criminals over innocent citizens

And if those due process laws are done, like some places in Europe where they're evicted in 24 hours, I think that's just great. But when those laws are written by pussies then another kind of recourse has to take place. They're stealing. They're stealing money and time and they're stealinga persons own home. If you can't f*** a person up for that then p**** shouldn't be writing laws.

I will follow just laws but I won't follow laws written by idiots and pussies.

Also, family is your claim. That's a nice way of framing it to engender sympathy, but it often isn't family in the way that you're pretending.

Families get evicted unlawfully, buddy. Not everyone who goes through this is the meth-head boogeyman you're frothing at the mouth about. Lol@choosing which laws you will and won't follow. Glad it doesnt work that way.

You should be able to forcibly remove anyone who’s not paying you rent for your property.

With or without police assistance.

Dude seriously, I teach people how to fight and I cant beat the f*ck out of everyone who doesnt pay me. Get a hold of yourself.

Stop lying. Nowhere did I ever say that anyone who CANNOT produce evidence that they have claim to be on the property should remain there. I said the lawful procedures should be used to determine that, which is the same thing the Cops told this women.

And I would not do that. But if the government is going to hamstring my natural rights then they better have a due process in place that takes a day or two. And if they're not going to fund that then they can f*** right off. If someone is taking advantage of me, they're getting their head cracked.

If you assault someone because you personally feel the legal apparatus is too slow, then you deserve the court case that is going to follow.

That's not my framing at all. Stop being dishonest.

You're the one who is in here claiming that it's the homeowners responsibility to install security cameras and monitor their homes at all times so they can prove to the cops that the person broke in. It's not the homeowners responsibility to jump through a bunch of hoops because someone broke into their home. It should be up to the criminals to jump through a bunch of hoops to prove they aren't a criminal.

What you have here is misplaced empathy. Empathy for squatters and trespassers, but not much for homeowners. Probably because you believe that homeowners are oppressors or something.

There wouldn't be a court case. I know how to handle situations like this in a way that doesn't make a person liable.

All the state has to do to make this just is have a 2-day turnaround for cases like this. If they're not going to do that then it's going to get handled another way and that's all there is to it.

Lolwut? So you would manipulate the situation to make it seem like you weren't enacting violence on people because you felt the legal process was too slow? You wouldn't be bold enough to just fully be accountable for your position?

The State doesnt owe it to you to abide by your standard. There's a process for this that actually takes work and organization. You could head up an effort to enact that and come up with a comprehensive means to do so if you're serious about this. Otherwise you're just fantasizing about harming people you deem lesser than yourself.

But also we just need non-pussies to be writing the laws because none of this ought to be happening at all. It's just because of weak people with no balls who don't understand.... It seems the most basic things about life that we have idiotic laws like this in the first place.

Basically we just need lots more funding so these cases can be turned around in a day or two or train cops to make the choice and analyze the evidence. Whatever it takes, send a social worker whatever it takes but you can't cost people thousands of dollars just because some a****** wants to pretend and lie and steal.

And that high turn around would benefit the tenants also. But what we have now are laws that favor criminals over responsible citizens and that's just total. B*******.

The states and the pussies that write these ridiculous laws can do whatever they want. I really don't care. Give it much thought. I know how to handle my own situations and I will.

But also we just need to change the laws because they're ridiculous and stupid as any sane person can see... what all this really is is cover for not funding the system such that cases like these can be turned over in a day or two.

Uh no. If you own a property it is absolutely on you to maintain that property and monitor it for intrusion. How do I even need to make this argument? I have a camera on my home. My business has a camera. Cops provide some modicum of property protection, but we've all seen how incompetent that is. Here is a video about Cops arresting a guy for being at his own house because a NEIGHBOR said he was trespassing, guy is 78 years-old and gets his ass kicked:

Squatters DO have to jump through hoops, in Court. Installing a camera isn't jumping through hoops, its basic home security. Lol

No "misplaced empathy" here. Just plain old empathy. If the homeowner can prove trespassing, if the squatters cannot produce any legitimate claim to occupancy, they should be removed.

Yeah no thanks on Cops playing judge and jury in the streets. Check out the video above to see why.

There is a legal distinction between "squatters" and "tresspassers" in NYC. It seems "squatters" is a charged term that invokes a specific image that people react to. But going by the laws, if a landlord claims a family in a home has gone past their lease, they're "squatters." You think that family should be beaten with canes until they leave? In NYC a squatter and a trespasser aren't legally synonymous in every case, because there can be various reasons why someone is at a property and it could easily be the landlord who is acting maliciously. You have to use the eviction Court to determine someone is a trespasser to have law enforcement evict them.

This is in regards to a landlord/tenet type business relationship though, correct?

What about a deeded homeowner that inherited a house and just so happened to find non-tenets had made entry and began living there?

Surely these two different situations can't be subject to the same laws and provisions, or am I mistaken?
