With all due respect, Hill has to be one of the lowest skill champions of the modern era....He is just that bad. I think he had a great combination of luck and power that slid him into the championship briefly.

Just watching him and Alex you can EASILY see the skill and technique difference.

Waltzing your way into fighting 43 year old Glover as the #6 or 7 ranked guy (I forget where he was) when the #2 an #3 guys Magomed and Jan should have had the title is not even just good luck, it's the stars from heaven aligning for him. By far the most paper belt of all time.

I hate the use of the word "luck" when it comes to combat sports, but with Hill, I feel REALLY firmly he has been lucky as shit on multiple levels. He has the skill level of a good amateur with heavy hands and somehow won a UFC belt. He is the dude that hit back to back lotto tickets....He will never sniff a title shot again, let alone hold the belt.
