Weird, I've seen people from other countries think it's laughable to call him a radical based on his proposals. He says himself that he wants to base his policies on Scandinavian socialism. What makes him so much further left in your opinion?

That's because he only ever talks about his ideas that aren't crazy like medicare for all, student loan cancellation and affordable college, etc. It came up in the debates, for example, that he wants to give workers a share of their companies. He didn't mention that he wants to do that by taking 20% of everyone in the country's stock portfolios to redistribute. No one that thinks Bernie is a European style socialist has actually read through his website or looked at his history.

You attempt to claim facts and numbers yet you cite a CNN "possible" projection. I went over this with you posting all the compiled data for healthcare cost estimates showing that Bernie could easily pay for it, and that it would, by most accounts, save money. Then you went quiet as a mouse, ignored it and reverted back to your talking point.

The economy survived the biggest crash since the great depression, I think itll survive giving healthcare and education to the people like all other OECD countries in the world.

Imagine being so under the thumb by big pharma and business that you willingly lay down and accept getting screwed over. Let me ask you, whats your opinion on the healthcare situation and what would you do about it?

I was gonna post this in here but you beat me to it. Actually haven't had a chance to finish the whole thing yet, but Paul is definitely trying to rebrand his message about Bernie now that it's clear he will be the nominee. The bullshit he was spewing in 2016 was garbage and now he's done a complete backtrack to try and save face.

The thing of it is (at least from what I've listened to so far which isn't all that much), he's not entirely wrong when he says Bernie isn't that far left when you compare him to lefties from around the world. Specifically, the countries that Sanders talks about a lot like Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Now, I disagree with the whole notion that him using the term socialist will end up being a detriment to his campaign because Republicans call just about any Democrat a socialist. I.e. Obama in 2008. All Sanders really has to do to win the older vote IMO is to hammer home the message that he intends greatly defend and bolster Social Security and Medicaid. BY FAR the most popular programs in America with older voters and rightfully so.

Krugman is a hack. He is viewed as a mercenary by other economists for building up his credentials over years then cashing it in. He was the one hired by the banking cartels after 2008 to convince Iceland that they should pay. Glad they ignored him.

Krugman repeated this in 2016 when his services were purchased, we don't know by who, to argue against his own long standing progressive stances and bury Bernie. He was the lead economist attacking him. It took a few days to a week to research and dig up his old articles arguing for the things he was bashing Bernie for but the MSM refused to cover it.

He also romanticizes the worst examples of Communism like the Soviet Union, Cuba, and others. He clearly admires Communism and will take America down that path if given the chance. This is shaping up to be a pivotal moment in American history, imo.

Well what happens when the reality of governance hits and you need to actually start pushing legislation. AOC has already conceded down to a public option (I know you won’t like that but you can bet your ass it’s the truth. The second she admitted that was what they would accept, the baseline STARTING POINT of republicans was determined).


What happens to the progressive movement when Bernie accomplishes literally nothing in an entire term?


Democrats would be mindful to remember the old saying “under promise, over deliver”. If you ran a laser focused election on healthcare, you could win, maybe just maybe be able to pass something, and energize a generation of progressives. Instead you’ll promise the moon and deliver very little.
