Agree? I'm not even talking about his chances in rematch with Fury and if he fought Joshua or Ruiz. Why is he the baddest man on the planet? Average fat UFC HW would take him down and James Toney him.
Do you have to be a boxer to be considered the baddest man on the planet?

Some MMA guys can probably beat him in a fight, using grappling to neutralize his boxing

Putin can get them killed though

"A manlet from UFC could be the baddest man on the planet."
- Kenny Florian

Why is he the baddest man on the planet?
Cuz Boxing via Corruption.
Ortiz didn't get a 12 second count like Fury......

DC would split him in half.

And little brother syndrome strikes again. Is this really even threadworthy?

That phrase has lost a lot of meaning after so many instances of misuse, at this point it's the equivalent of "world's greatest dad". Wouldn't it suffice to simply refer to Wilder as the "baddest man in boxing?"

It's their job, you should only be surprised if they didn't say that.

Obviously boxers are inferior to martial artists, everyone knows this now. A 150 pound Jiu Jitsu purple belt or higher would murder Wilder in a real fight and there's nothing he would be able to do about it.

But Wilder does have a scary right cross and is one of the hardest hitters in combat sports I've ever seen.

"Baddest man on the planet" has always been a boxing term. Who gives a fuck if an MMA fighter would win a "fight". Its just something Boxing has said since well before MMA was an established sport. They are not going to just stop saying it because MMA got popular

With the kinda power he has? Yeah 100% lol who gives a fuck that he can't lay ontop of another grown man for 5 rounds when he can knock em dead with one shot

Tyson had that moniker , when he was at the top.
They are just selling their piece to the crowd.
Nonetheless he is seriously dangerous as a striker.

The phrase was coined for Mike Tyson. We stole it from boxing, boxing can steal it back for all that I care.

The guy who refuses to move up to HW so he can fight MW's, sure buddy. You one of them coke head fans who has more confidence in him than he does himself

So who is the baddest man in MMA if not Jon Jones?
