Exactly.

This guys are swinging with 4oz gloves. Things like these happen all the time. Specially with guys as active as Kyoji.
Pretty sure they book the rematch and Horiguchi will be heavily favored.

Also is not like he got dominated for a whole fight. He got caught early.

MMA fans are the worst. You lose and you automatically suck.
 
The Asakuras have 'spoiler' written all over them. Those guys go balls to the wall and seem like they'll trade with anyone. They may not be seen as elite fighters even though they both have a few good wins now, but they're still pretty dangerous.

the original thread was in the contenders forum got merged into a heavies a thread that got sent into the contenders the original title was much better
 
There would be a lot more hype surrpunding the Asakura bros, if they were named Volkov or Bryan brothers.

Kai fought a good fight. Horiguchi got caught....as simple as that.
People writing off the gooch just dont know. He ll come back stronger.

On a side note, why is Rizin not signing Koike Erbst? .....

this is terrible. now the bellator bw belt is wreck. he might as well get destroy by his next opponent.
 
All I get from this fight is that there's a tier to manlets and 5'4" is not king of the manlets.
 
It’s good to see Rizin get another young Japanese fighter they can promote as a star. A win over Horiguchi is big considering how successful he’s been in other organizations. Speaking of young stars, is there any word on if Tenshin will fight MMA again or not?
 
If you fight often, and Horiguchi does that, you will occasionaly get caught, and you will lose to someone. I don't belive that counting losses on low number of fights and fighting once, twice per year is the main criteria for MMA success as some claim.
