International Hamas launches surprise attack on Israel; Israel has declared a state of war. Vol. VII

This 'terrorist state' has been stoked by US and Israel. The more you oppress Palestine, the more you create conditions for terrorism to grow. It's just a fact.

The US or Israel haven't worked towards a two state solution diplomatically for decades, all the while settlers keep gradually taking more and more land, pushing people who depend on that land for their livelihood even further to the brink. Militias are an inevitable response.

The only situation that would make Israel happy, is that the Palestinians leave all together.
What would make the pals happy? What would make hamas happy?

If you actually start to work towards a two state solution, loosen restrictions on every day activity of workers, children and families, over time if you give back basic rights and stability, that will increase internal pressure within palestine to maintain stability. At the very least, stop the expansion of settlements. This may really only be relevant to the past tense though, because this war will have created so much anger and bitterness, it's hard to repair.

These people have nothing to lose, and are extremely desperate. Almost everyone there has been touched directly by death or violence to a family member.

Give them stable lives worth protecting and you have at least the chance to bring back peace. No guarantees, but it's a move in the right direction.

When should restrictions have been loosened? Pre-10/7? Right after 10/7? Now? When should Israel have given more autonomy to the pals and the terror groups therein?

Well no they didn't want hamas in power... but did help them because they didn't want fateh more.

For years, the various governments led by Benjamin Netanyahu took an approach that divided power between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank — bringing Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to his knees while making moves that propped up the Hamas terror group.

The idea was to prevent Abbas — or anyone else in the Palestinian Authority’s West Bank government — from advancing toward the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Thus, amid this bid to impair Abbas, Hamas was upgraded from a mere terror group to an organization with which Israel held indirect negotiations via Egypt, and one that was allowed to receive infusions of cash from abroad.

Hamas was also included in discussions about increasing the number of work permits Israel granted to Gazan laborers, which kept money flowing into Gaza, meaning food for families and the ability to purchase basic products.

Most of the time, Israeli policy was to treat the Palestinian Authority as a burden and Hamas as an asset. Far-right MK Bezalel Smotrich, now the finance minister in the hardline government and leader of the Religious Zionism party, said so himself in 2015.

According to various reports, Netanyahu made a similar point at a Likud faction meeting in early 2019, when he was quoted as saying that those who oppose a Palestinian state should support the transfer of funds to Gaza, because maintaining the separation between the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza would prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.

But yeah. Those Palestinian kids are more responsible for hamas because their parents " may " have voted in hamas before they were born.

This is what idiots like kflo know but like to pretend isn’t true.

What headline are you talking about?

And no, a strike on a “refugee camp” isn’t by definition a war crime. All of Gaza is a refugee camp, because everyone in Gaza is a refugee.

And hamas indeed embeds themselves in (and under) these spaces.

Lmao you look like a tit with every post. Reread what you post for god sakes. The amount of back peddling you’ve done since October is hilarious.

Oh now it’s all of Gaza is a refugee camp technically. Jesus Christ are you being paid by Israel to post this shit?

Look who chimes in with more vapid nonsense! Well played. Do you bro.

Oh yeah nice deflection as usual. Justifying bombing with the human shield excuse lol.

Vapid nonsens ! Lmao , coming from the tit who said all of Gaza is refugeee camp

You must be able to suck your own dick with the type of gymnastics you can perform.

Bombing a refugee camp isn’t a war crime lol Jesus you should delete your account.

This has been going on for decades, there have been numerous periods of non conflict where there were opportunities for healing / negotiations.

Oh' give it a rest. Palestine has been offered a two state solution over and over again, and they've promptly said "no" every single time.

Probably because what they have been offered is no different to what their situation was lol

I’m sure you would accept a deal where you can’t control your own borders and trade routes lol

And what they are experiencing now is better? The West Bank is going to be completely colonized and Gaza is a pile of rubble. They should have declared a state 70 years ago.

The delusion is thinking it would be any different lol

Israel literally wrote about what they wanted to accomplish before Israel was even created

It takes a special type of person to think this

What did they want to accomplish?

A settler colony using the same tactics used by other colonisers. They knew what would happen with the creation of Israel and accepted the fact that the local population must be eradicated.

It was understood that it was immoral but decided to ignore it since they wanted the land more. A two state solution was always a fantasy. There was never any intention of this thus the proposal was always ridiculous.

That is bullshit.

The US and Israel just this week rejected UN proposal to recognise Palestine as a state through membership.

The US and Israel have continually pushed hard to prevent palestine receiving a recognition of state-hood.

Palestine can't even be called Palestine on Google maps.

Unfortunately now only 33% of Palestinians support a two state solution, but this is due to years of oppression and atrocities.

Negotiations have been frought throughout the years, but Netanyahu has consistently rejected the idea.

Do you think that the Jewish people deserve a homeland?

The proposal to recognize Palestine would have passed but the US vetoed it.
