If you noticed he wasnt interested in being in Burns guard, he only wanted his back or against the cage. Khazmat knows his limits, he isn't an unstoppable machine from every position grappling. Burns would have subbed him. He made sure never to be in Burns guard. By rd 2 and 3 he was too tired to shoot and was faster than Burns striking. Great fight IQ

Khamzat was pushed, defended takedowns, stood for the majority of the fight, got punched hard and managed to secure a victory. I personally had Burns but it was close nonetheless. With a fight like that, I can imagine Khamzat going back home and training even harder. His team will have a lot of things they can work on now. He'll come back dangerous.

Answered the questions many had. He’s not the best off the back foot and defensive striking isn’t great. His cardio didn’t appear to be anything special. He looked much more human and beatable. But he can take a punch and hang in a dog fight. He proved he can be in there with the top guys though.
