Standing in the road is dangerous for obvious reasons. My parents taught me that when I was like 5. How else were they supposed to get him out of the road?

The stated mission of the program was to find and charge folks for this. So the with the NYPD knowing this fact, they should be stopping white folks at least as much as minorities.

Yet they didn’t. In fact that ratio of black and brown folks stopped compared to whites was absurd. If group A is committing more crime then B, but 80+% of the time you willfully choose not to police A and only police B, B will have tons more felons then A regardless if they are committing much less crime.

Now consider policing blacks way harder even when they are committing said crime less wasn’t a strategy spelled out by the stop and frisk program, but instead was just a reflection of how the NYPD approaches their jobs overall, and you can how you’re basing your thoughts on bullshit stats that don’t reflect the reality of crime.

If the justice system is charging a race with crimes less frequently than others even when they are committing crimes, then you’re never getting a victim survey in the first place. That’s the point.
