Post Your Gloves/Gear

shit i thought i had expensive gear thats over 10 thousand in gloves lol
Please don't tell my wife . The worrying thing is this was over 6 years ago , and it wasn't my full collection then. I've probably amassed a few more pieces since then but also dropped a few of these . I will get some more upto date photos soon.

lol if its your doe tell her to get back into the kitchen!!!!!

i have the money to buy expensive gloves but tbh myself even though if ight pro i cant justify paying over 250 for winning gloves im waiting for winnings t go back down. i would buy some tripple cuff grants but the price is to crazy as well

I would just like to note... I didnt want to spend the money on the Winning gloves. I coach and have to spar with much lighter people, some high school kids too, but Im 210lbs. I just couldn't stand hitting these way smaller kids with my Twins. I spent the money to protect these kids the best I could. Yet now they're getting really good, I almost want to ask them to switch. Let them use the soft gloves on me! Lol.

u should beat her with a belt
Having to buy new gear now. Just got a pair another pair of white fairtex bgv1 breathable gloves ready for the gyms to reopen next week in nz.
It sucks having to just write off all my stuff as stolen when I know where it is but I now have a no contact order while I’m out on bail

I picked these up on half price sale. A very well made glove , good materials inside and out with perfect stitching. Made in Pakistan very similar in size, shape and feel to the rival loma 16oz lace up training gloves I have though has it's own unique look and style . Also cheaper! Nice fit , comfortable thumb. Quite compact in terms of width for a 16oz without being too tight . A good glove , nice feedback and pop . I'd recommend the sb200 phenom elite .

thx! i am looking for gloves that have similar feel to my Rival RB11 and someone has mentioned phenom.
based on your review i guess he's right.

Winning MS-600-B and FG-2900.
Their gloves are priced high, even in Japan. But I prefer the additional hand protection.

The wrist support is not ideal, but some additional wraps around the wrist solves that.

Anyone has the Buakaw Thai boxing gloves? I just saw csquaredboxing review and he rate them very high.

Dug out this old headgear that didn’t see much use. Don’t think Fightgear has been around for a while now. But I noticed the nose protection on it was incredible. I took some measurements of the front edge of the cheek protector to compare to the winning fg2900 just for anyone curious. I wish they still made it. It was a bit heavier though; almost looks like it may be the same as the masters Ringside one but with a normal lace top and back. The photos are hard to tell; but it’s about 1.25” (fg2900) of padding vs 1.75” + (Fightgear) or so.

which one of phenom do you have? How do you think about them?
they are one of the fight glove models; the design is good but construction quality's not great, but that is just this one single pair. I decided to keep it for pads/bags as I got em cheap and the lining's not stitched/glued inside properly in one spot.

thx, i was about to get phenom but decided to buy something else.

I just got a new pair of gloves. Fly x lace up. Beautiful gloves. Bought from geezersboxing and shipped to indonesia within 1 week by DHL.
Quick review:
- Profile wise, they are more compact than winning even though both are 16oz. They are as compact as sabas pro series.
- The synthetic leather has similar texture to winning.
- inner lining is so smooth, smoother than winning obviously. you can easily slide in your hand.
- hand compartment is deeper than winning, i don't feel my fingertips jammed as i do in winning (but still ok).
- thumb has no issue
- padding is little bit denser compared to winning due to the compact size. But still soft enough for sparring due to softer leather.
- wrist protection is not the best due to soft material on the cuff. You can easily bend your wrist up and down. winning has better wrist protection.
- overall, i would use this for sparring only. I don't want use use expensive gloves on heavy bag. I would use something cheaper and stiffer for heavy bag, like Casanova or rival RB11.

My main thing in the gym is heavybag workout. I am on the older side and don't need to prepare for competition so I workout on my own in the early morning. Here is my selection of gloves that I am using:

Right: Green Hill Tiger, 16oz.
Great working horse. It fits well and lasts like 3 or 4 years with the padding intact. They are made from solid cowhide leather and have some 'beauty issues' like bubbles building up between padding and leather, discolouring and they do develop a bit of an odor when not aired out. I think I paid around 90 Euro for them.

Top: Fighter
I was looking for 16oz, but this leather model of Fighter was just available in 14oz. Using it to hit the bag and it has a good anatomy. The padding didn't need as much breaking in as other gloves. For 50 Euro a pair this is really a nice glove. Have used it for 4 months every other day and like it. The leather is pretty soft, but slightly on the cheap side. The padding is stable and protective. I don't see any wear on it.

Bottom: King 12 Oz.
This is an older glove with relly good leather. I used it when I was still doing partner drills and padwork. I hardly do that anymore. The padding is thinner than and less protective than the two other pairs - I'd compare them to Everlast or Windy, but still a lot better. Wrist supprt isn't great despite the wide velcro. What I like about the King Gloves is that they stick on the target when you hit. That pop sound and feeling is great.

Probably, those will be my last leather gloves. In the future I am looking to get non-leather products for ethical reasosns. Animals don't have to die because I need to exercise. Salute.
