Law Ron DeSantis sends two planes full of illegals to Martha's Vineyard upsetting rich Democrats

Interesting point about trauma. With regard to the rest, I somewhat disagree, but also would add that it's not so much about political will from any individual party as the fact that a strong majority of the country explicitly rejects such an approach. You don't make changes by losing elections. That is, even if you think a race-focused approach is best (which I don't agree with on the merits), it's so politically toxic that it can't happen in a democratic nation.

Fair enough. And, like I say, this is where you and I arrive at an impasse. (Which is fine, but is why we talk past one another on this particular issue and why you are more inclined to give progressive parties more credit on these issues than I am.)

But nope, the border definitely isn't open, says the biggest liar partisan hack on Sherdog.
Yeah, that's not what an open border means. I've passed through many open borders in Europe. Passing through many European countries is like passing through American states. The southern border is NOT like that. Only a complete HACK like YOU would make that kind of blatantly false equivalency. You have no shame.

I love how you ignore the 660,000 "got aways" - which is more than the population of the 26th largest city in America.

For someone who talks about honesty in every single post, you sure do lie and obsfucate a lot.

Only a dishonest partisan hack (read:you) would think a border that allows almost 700,000 people to escape capture per year is "secure“.

Don't ever try lecturing another person on these forums about honesty or dishonesty, you hack.
Where do you live and have you ever traveled outside of your home state?

There is no open border.

Not in theory but in practice from the southern border mainly?...
That's NOT an open border. By definition. When I drove from Amsterdam to Paris, it was like driving from Boston to Philadelphia. It's roughly the same distance and has the same amount of border checks (i.e. none), even though I was passing through THREE sovereign states with different languages and cultures, etc. People who say the US has open borders, especially on the southern border, are complete idiots and/or hacks.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_border#Examples_of_open_borders

Notice that ZERO borders with the US are there.

Now notice what is a prime example of a CONTROLLED border:

Tell me about it. Have you ever been to south Texas? No you haven’t. You’ve probably never been to Arizona. You’ve never been anywhere bit the basement you dwell in. So, until you've been
somewhere , stfu. You’re pitiful
lol the “have you ever been here!!!” argument. Is that what all you dorks retort to when you get confronted with reality <{cruzshake}>

Speaking of hacks. I know this guy with a blue name....he's trying to gaslight me. He's all, one time I went to Europe and the southern border isn't like Europe. Those millions of people in America that crossed illegally don't count. Because they said they want asylum.

Debating reporting him.

-"You just dialed 911, what is your emergency?"

"I just witnessed Ron DeSantis assassinate Joe Biden."

I just witnessed Ron DeSantis piss off one of the few Latino groups that votes Republican and an increasingly key demographic in his state. Reminder: At one point, Republicans had majority/higher support among African Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, Indian Americans, Latino Americans and then lost it due to unpopular policies and rhetoric.

FDR won the election of 1932, with little more than a handful of black votes. In Chicago, for example, “the Democratic Party received only 21% of the African American’s vote. African Americans, expected very little from the new FDR Administration in both relief and recognition, they had grown used to
being ignored by the government.

Asian Americans used to be a reliable Republican voting bloc. But long before Kamala Harris, who is Indian American and Black, became Joe Biden’s running mate, they shifted to support the Democratic Party. This is true across ages, genders and ethnic origins of Asian Americans – including Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Hmong.

The next month, Bush won the presidency. And while he lost Michigan, he won the state’s Arab-Americans: Some estimates placed Bush’s support in the community as high as 72 percent.

Now, Arab-Americans have turned away from the party that once won their support, and some fear the cultural divisions exposed by Trump’s candidacy. Because of Trump, the GOP has lost—perhaps for a generation—a voting bloc that could have offered the party both much-needed diversity and the prospect of helping put Michigan in play on the electoral map.

From overwhelmingly voting for George W. Bush in the 2000 election to backing Clinton in the current cycle, the Muslim shift in political allegiance has been precipitous, leading some critics to lament a lost Republican opportunity to keep an increasingly influential voting bloc.

According to surveys conducted after the election, more than 70 percent of Muslims voted for Bush, and most of the 50,000 Muslim votes in Florida went to the Republican candidate.

In the 2011 Pew survey, 70 percent of Muslims in America described themselves as Democrats or leaning Democratic, while 11 percent said they were Republicans or leaning Republican. Those numbers have held relatively steady since then.

The primary reason for Indian Americans to lean away from the Republican Party is that it's unwelcoming of minorities.

My message to Ron DeSantis is: Have at it, hoss! Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. This little political stunt of Ron's will please the MAGA base that would support him anyway, but it will alienate Venezuelan Americans, a key voting block for him in his state, and the demographics are only growing... Thank God for the Republican knack of knowing just how to piss off and alienate minorities in a country which is gradually becoming majority-minority... No wonder Republicans haven't won the popular vote since 2004 and before then, 1988. No wonder the only way they get in these days is by either stealing elections (2000) or getting some bullshit Electoral College victory...

Lets not forget the fact that Ron used tax payer funds for this stunt to further his political ambitions a 12 million dollar stunt already 800,000 spent. An Trumpers and Republicans go on about Democrats yet they seem fine with Republicans misuse of tax payer funds for stunts.
