There will be a dimension of subjectivity to how everyone regards "overlooked" no matter what, but I suggest any of:
(1) Referencing how a song charted compared to the rest of a musician's catalog

(2) See if or where it ranks on an artist's Top 10 most listened songs on Spotify (presumably, it shouldn't rank there)
https://open.spotify.com/
(3) Total views on YouTube after searching the artist's channel/name, then organizing with the filter by total views

I'll start with Stevie Wonder. I believe "Ribbon in the Sky" is his most overlooked song despite that it isn't obscure, and it was a hit, but it only peaked at #54 on the US Billboard, and #45 on the UK chart (he had 10x #1 hits, and 28x Top 10's). It's not one of his Top 10 most listened on Spotify.

Simon and Garfunkel - For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her

As with the track in the OP, this is not an obscure pick (coincidentally it peaked only one spot higher at #53 in the U.S.) and it is on their Greatest Hits album...but it is also has the least listens on Spotify for tracks on that album and is not among the duo's most popular there either. I'm guessing it does not often come to mind when most think of Simon and Garfunkel, though it easily ranks in my top five of their songs. It might be considered as overlooked simply because they have many other hits.

Short, simple, sweet...just perfectly lovely.
