UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Daukaus

She looks bloated like it’s that time…
Chiasson accepted this fight on December 7, which is why it's at 145 pounds instead of 135 pounds. Pennington was supposed to fight Julia Avila.

Chiasson usually cuts a lot of weight, so it makes sense why she wanted the fight at featherweight. Also, it's possible that she could be on her period, you like alluded to, which is another factor -- along with accepting the fight 10 days ago -- for her asking for the fight at a weight class above her usual weight class.

You also have to remember that Chiasson is the one who accepted this fight on short notice, and she is the bigger fighter here. If she didn't like the match-up, she could've easily said no and enjoyed her Christmas chilling at home without having to cut weight.

She might be stupid though. No offense to her, but she gets hit in the head for a living, not to mention that ego might be getting the best of her like what happened with Calvillo against Andrea Lee.

If any of you are going to be in Las Vegas for this final card of the year, send me a PM. I'll be staying at the Park MGM.

Waft is Belal Muhammad’s ptv? I see him having quite a difficult time closing the distance and getting Thompson down

That sucks, the over 2.5 at even money was a gift there.

Wonder why it got pulled last minute.

Alright, locked in my picks for this card.
-Pennington by Dec +120
-Swanson to win -188
-Assuncao to win +240 (not very confident he'll win, but the odds were too good to pass by. Left a very small)
-Wonderboy to win -225
-Lewis by Stoppage +160

Overall I'm keeping the amounts low for this card.
Saving my money for betting on Gane over Ngannou and Moreno over Fig.

Surprised so many people are going to be on Gane. He's perhaps the most sophisticated heavyweight striker in the history of the UFC but he has never faced the power that he's about to face. Ngannou is a different fighter than he was as a one rounder that gassed.

Gane is pretty elusive and doesn’t get hit flush much. I haven’t thought much about this but he’s clearly far more skilled all around

So is the new start time 3:30 since a fight got cancelled?

Except for the fact that he has faced a striker like Ngannou. Consistently. When they were training partners haha.
I mean, Gane is in no way a "lock" obviously. Ngannou can swing wild and has proven that he has enough power to put anyone out. But he is still often power over technique.
Gane is the other way around. His distance control, defense, pacing, clinch strikes, and counterstrikes are ridiculously good. Combined with his ability to stay calm and fight intelligently then it should be an easy night out for Gane.

Honestly, the only way I see Francis winning is if he all of a sudden becomes NCAA Ngannou and Gane doesn't counter/adjust his gameplan in time. If Ngannou starts spamming takedowns it might help him win rounds and may even leave Gane guessing enough to surprise him with a heavy shot while faking a takedown.
