Joe Rogan is doing everything possible to lose credibility

I think of an intellectual moreso as someone exactly like Joe Rogan. One who knows how to ask the right question at the right time. Engage in conversation. To make people question everything.

Think a Plato or a Socrates of our time. The reason they where there was to ask all those dumb questions.

Had social media been around at the time of Socrates, he would have been ridiculed and killed off much earlier.

Fair play like I said I'm not trying to put Joe in a box or a social construct and a real intellectual was....now that we are randomly contemplating life on an MMA board not the right choice of words. Joe is alright in my book but while I understand where you are coming from your opening remarks. I don't think Rogan is the Plato or Socrates of our time maybe a bit of hyperbole but I know you love to troll. I do see the value in people with an inquisitive nature however so Rogan fandom aside I am with you. And with that I say to you good day sir. Joe's by no stretch a "doofus" hes inquisitive with great memory recall an interest in knowledge.

Hes able to have engaging conversations with scientists and academics for hours at a time. Most people can't do that for minutes.

The contempt for Rogan is as baffling as the contempt for mma on here

He is a pseudo intellectual, he wants to seem smart but his knowledge comes from googling a topic for 15-30 minutes

This is evident when he is proven wrong and ignores it, people who are intelligent like to learn, they aren’t upset when they are wrong. Joe Rogan never admits that he’s wrong, that should tell you that he only cares about being perceived as intelligent

The diploma about his IQ is further proof

And the guy legit thinks alpha brain makes him smarter, believing in placebos is further proof


Compared to the average sherdogger he’s Einstein, but he is far from being intelligent

Here's the thing though: He's so inconsistent with his thoughts and ideas. Everything he says that is smart, or insightful is negated by the garbage he spews on a regular basis. He's just so full of shit. It's hard to take what he says seriously, even when a lot of what comes out of his noise-hole is wise.
