Brady > Belichick ?

Of course he doesn't deserve 100% of the credit (nor does he receive it in all actuality, hyperbole aside), but he does deserve the lion's share because of the importance of the quarterback position in the sport and the fact that he's the obvious difference maker. Not sure why you have such a problem with it. Yes, there are other guys who could be put in that situation and also thrive and they too would receive deserved credit for it. Yet you seem to have some sort of problem with it being given to Brady for some strange reason.

There is a lot to be said for being steady handed like Brady is, and holding in your psychotic competitiveness. Rivers (and others) never got anywhere because they're always emotional.

Brady carried Belichick's bum ass. Billy boy hasn't done a goddamn thing without Tom and the 1st year Tom leaves he's in the Super Bowl for the 10th time with a new team. Only autistic haters can deny that shit now.

New England was really cheap for a long time and it caught up as they literally have no wrs and refused to change so Brady bolted and with AB has maybe greatest amount of passing weapons I ever seen.

To be fair you could trot Farve out there at 50 something with TB's wr's and TE's and he would get solid numbers.

Brady 10th superbowl he is GOAT and I cannot imagine any other QB passing him as GOAT as I doubt any QB could play that long these days with the move to wanting QB's as a dual threat.

Was the quote that arians said about Tom coaching a shot at bill. It reminded me of this thread. The call at the end of the first half was Tom. I didn’t like the call at the time, but man, that won them the game.

Belichick as a head coach without TB12, 8 seasons, 1 playoff appearance, 1 playoff win, 6 losing seasons. 3 years as a head coach in New England without Brady, 2 losing seasons, no playoff appearance.

Belichick with Brady, 18 seasons, 18 winning seasons, 17 playoff appearances, 13 AFC championship games, 9 SB appearances, 6 wins.

Brady without Belichick, 1 season, 3 playoff wins, 1 NFC championship appearance, 1 SB appearance, SB win to be determined. At age 43.

Nah.. they were both important to each other’s success.

The Pats had quite a few player’s ‘opt out’ for COVID reasons this year too.

The Pats will be back next year. Gonna be fun watching a motivated Billy B

Bill was very accomplished as a coordinator under Parcells too, for whatever that’s worth.

That’s one of the intangibles of Brady. Would they have opted out if he was there? You would usually run through a wall for your coach. It seems that they would rather do it for Tom.

We’ll see. I’m not going to take anything away from either guy, they’re both legends in this sport and they’ve both earned the right (from my stand point anyway) to be given time to turn their situations around.

The Pats will be fine, is my guess. You can feel different, of course, but Bill is one of the great orchestrators in this games history and I trust what I know about him in that capacity. It’s why I added all his success as a coordinator with Parcells in another post too -many players that have worked with Bill attest to his ability to coach/teach/understand the game at its highest level.

His story isn’t over, the final chapter is yet to be written.

I’m still a Bill fan. I just hated the fact that everyone said Brady was a system qb and it was all bill.

I’m a Brady fan too, I respect the hell out of both Bill and Tom. I can appreciate greatness when I see it.. as long as it’s not the Packers -fuck them (Imma Bears fan)

I wish the org/orgs I cheer for were as ruthless and calculating as the Pats. That’s how I want all the orgs I cheer for to be run -ruthlessly efficient. I don’t care about feel good stories and ‘likable’ players and coaches. As a fan, all I want is the W and the bragging rights. That’s it.

lol @ these 4th grade book report level arguments and stats.
Feel free to name a better coach.

Both are great because they worked together.

Noll, Brown, Walsh, Lombardi and Shula are all better

Bill is fighting for the next spot with Landry and maybe Halas
