Happy that the atom weight tourney is happening...and let's be honest, ONE is the 2nd best place it could happen....but sweet fucking christ why couldn't the UFC throw that together? There could be some intriguing match-ups. It looks like they are going for 8 fighters from 8 different countries which is probably why some "expected" participants like Mei didn't get invited. Will be cheering for Ham to win her umpteenth title and I give her a 60-70% of taking the belt home. Maybe I'm alone here, but I think Hirata also has a decent chance. I think she has that killer instinct to become a champ.

I wonder why GDR turned down a rematch with Holm? She already knows she can commit multiple fouls and get away with it if she fights the Preacher's Daughter.

I think Spencer will smother and "properly welcome" Danyelle Wolf to MMA.

I assume you mean to imply that RIZIN would be the 1st best place it could happen? coz UFC doesn't do fun things like tournaments (or atomweights). ;)

I suppose Invicta would be a fun place as well but they don't have much of a crowd, or a production budget that ONE or RIZIN put on a spectacular show (another thing UFC refuses to do) (although Invicta does have a sense of fun / makes some nice promos with its photoshoots and vignettes).
 
This is a serious question. Why do MMA fans seems to go crazy for tournaments? Especially when you give it a cool name like Grand Prix. The only tournament that got me extra hype for fights was Invicta since they were all in one night. These tournament that happen over a year seem like normal fights with a cool name to me. I will admit I am weird and don't care for fancy walk outs and I watch fights muted. I am just excited to see the Ones 105ers fight and it being a tournament has no affect on my enjoyment.

It was a pic of Zhang (from her insta) in traditional Kung Fu outfit with "EAST" and the other was Rose at a gym (from Rose's) with "WEST", both pro photos by the same company tagged (forgot which). Both gone now.

Someone somewhere in marketing jumped the gun? :)

It was a two Instagram posts one from Rose saying West and one from Weili saying East. They were posted at the exact same time.

Hence the East vs West comment. Seemed like it was predicting a fight Announcement but guess it was deleted

I did not see this coming at all. Young seemed very comfortable at Featherweight, I wonder how she'll look at Lightweight. She's a great addition to the roster.

I know very little of Guardado.
 
I hate when people who choose to practice extremely restrictive diets complain about the difficulties of it. You made a choice, live with it. Also, shop smarter. Organic, no gluten or dairy? Yeah, have fun with that.

Kid is built just like her older sister. Srisen has the experience, but that size disparity is hard to look past
