UFC 262 Chandler vs Olivera

Isn't Burgis basically a punching bag? Just waits out damage, getting out struck by Charles Rosa and going to split decision with Cub Swanson
he is, but his pressure is relentless, often people fold under it. But if you watch back the Emmett fight, Burgos is almost trying to catch every overhand with his face like a magnet.

Early pre-lims will start at 6:30 pm eastern

#UFC262

Props to look into:

Gina Mazany dec -105
Katlyn Chookagian dec -105
Christos Giagos dec +105
Antonina Shevchenko dec +110
Beneil Dariush dec +130

Aguilar/Lutz & Vannata/Grundy fights both Go to decision Parlay +135

Charles Oliveira inside distance +110
Jamie Pickett KO +165
Shane Burgos dec +190

What are your favorite 5 props from this list?

You misunderstood the point of my post.

My point was not Barboza did not deserve to win the Ige/Felder fights.

I was stating he did not outpoint his opponents on the judges scorecards because in both fights in 2/3 rounds his opponents threw and landed far more strikes to the head than he did. Edson in those fights threw too many body shots and leg kicks that did not register in the eyes of the judges.

It ultimately does not matter if the media scores the fight for Edson, the only scores that matter are those on the judges scorecards and Edson needs some flashier offense or its going to be tough for him to outpoint Burgos who is a volume striker.

Edson is definitely capable of winning the fight, but it would be a huge mistake to discount why he lost those two fights in the judges eyes and whether or not he will fight similarly against Burgos.

Barboza def won the ige fight. That decision was absolute garbage and it has nothing to do w me having big cash on Barboza haha. I’m taking Barboza in this one at +108

I understand that you think he made a mistake by leaving it in the hands of judges who are prone to incompetency. But I think the two fights were obvious results to most observers (which would include judges), just that he happened to fall on the wrong side.

I don't think judges making an obviously incorrect decision would warrant not playing Barboza as a dog in this matchup vs a far, far more hittable fighter in Burgos.

Antonina's odds vs Lee keep on improving. Any reason why she wouldn't have her wrestling boots on here once again?
(Other than Lipski might be easier to control than Lee I guess)

I'm waiting on a bigger plus number for Barboza. Judging in Texas is horrific and Burgos will have the optics unless he gets absolutely brutalized like Dan Hooker was.

Stylistically I feel Wright matches up well with Pickett. The guys who are beating Wright are swarming him and overwhelming his bad striking defence, landing damage early. I'm not sure if Pickett has the style to do something like that.

Pickett is extremely physically gifted in terms of length and frame but he doesn't know how to use it. He's not that athletic either. Also pretty low volume. I can definitely see Wright outpointing him on the feet being the faster and rangier guy. Pickett was getting beaten to every punch by Tafon Nchukwi who is pretty slow. Wrights TDD also isn't too shabby, I don't think Pickett will be able to wrestle him for any extended period of time. Wright's is better in the clinch too.

Wright's durability and defence is a huge issue I just don't think Pickett is the guy to ask those questions of Wright like Buckley or Hernandez were able to do.

Lee is the better grappler. Will be a close fight
Value on lee

Gotta be careful about Antonina. The daily rolling with her sister in training leads to at least the possibility of her making huge leaps from one fight to the next. Lipski isn't a great grappler but she's not trash either. Antonina showed monstrous improvement with her control there.

Could be a situation where you have one fighter making huge strides with Antonina Shev while you have another who has plateau'd in Lee.

2 years ago I'd have said that Lee would straight ragdoll little Shev, but no way would I say that now.

Yea but lee still was brutalized by chookagian recently. At 36 I don’t think she’s making the leaps it would take to clearly beat lee.

I got lee at +165. A 1.2 unit play. Not high confidence but the value is there. I’d be very surprised if shev was able to dominate lee.

Judges seem to hate her though. Id like to see her win but if I bet her I feel its already too late odds wise.
Yea cause she takes too many punches to give her own and she’s been equally matched in the grappling department a bit

+165 is good. Lee will really need to get her offensive wrestling going if she wants a chance. Her striking is crap and she'll get worked standing.

just rewatched Dariush vs CDf 2 , how the fuck was that a split decision lol?? This judging stuff is really a joke. Dariush dominated him in all 3 rounds, his BJJ is just tremendous and he always manages to end up on top. I think Ferguson will just get wrestlefucked. The only path to victory for Ferguson is Darisuh going all out in rd 1 to finish and then gassing completely.
I had IT 29-28 Dariush, no way for 30-27

Agree Antonina has showed vast improvements on her last fight/s

Am I crazy for wanting to bet the house on Font. Against punching bag Cody. I see Cody getting frustrated fighting a longer rangier more precision striker. Please talk some sense into me.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jacare looked like a big hindsight fav in his fight vs Muniz. Line might be having a ton of recency bias from that Holland ko. This is the easiest opponent in a long time and good stylistic match up, Jacare can abuse Muniz dogshit tdd and protect himself from sub attempts with his superior bjj as he stays on top with lots of control and gnp. Standing jacare I think is better too.

Tony Ferguson vs. Beneil Dariush - 8+ weeks

One interesting thing to note is Jacare is training at his local gym with locals and not at fusion x. he opened his own school and is mostly teaching. I think he is near retirement.

He just looks sooooo old and slow. Like...all of his explosion is gone. And his chin too.

May not matter in this one, you could be right. But man he has fallen off a LOT. Not just with losing but with how he looks in his movements.
