Social John Cena profusely apologizes to Chinese netizens and China for calling Taiwan a country

Cena is CIA. He has to play the part.

They recruited him after seeing him in The Marine. Right now he is a double agent. I will let the audience figure out who he's really working for.

And I just realized that Ted DiBiase Jr. was in The Marine 2 but still couldn't get over. Such a waste.

Reality Check - Every corporation that is created in China is created by the CPP for the interests of the CPP, and all entrepreneurs must seek permission from the CPP to create a business and would be shut down if they ever grew so large they could challenge a CPP corporation.

And you think this makes them no longer communist? Show me where between Mao and now when they embraced human rights for all of their citizens.

How about when they plan to have free and open election again?
No longer communist is debatable. Less communist is objectively true and it's laughable for you to deny that fact. They rose to power as the Communist Party and they rule under that name. But they're widely considered to be communist in name only for good reason. And that's why capitalist countries and corporations are doing TONS of business over there. Not an actual communist country like Cuba.

But still communist.

You're grasping at straws here and you know it.

They rose to power as the Communist Party and they rule under that name.

At least you know what CPP stands for. Wonder how they'd respond to a white westerner saying 'Ya really aren't as communist as you used to be.'

But they're widely considered to be communist in name only for good reason.

According to whom? And how many is 'widely?'

And that's why capitalist countries and corporations are doing TONS of business over there.

*Low tariffs.
*Lower National Taxes
*Practically slave-cheap labor costs.
*No unions.
*Practically no regulations.

So they're communists that like money, and they've learned that money buys power and influence across the world with corporations and governments, which expands their power far beyond their own borders.

They're still as communistic as they ever have been, they've just not as retarded as the Un family or Castros.

Not an actual communist country like Cuba.

See above.

Don't want to bother unpacking and correcting all of this bullshit...

Let me just correct one thing and state that I'm not a white Westerner, I'm a half white Westerner who no one would mistake for white in real life. Not that I think my race or your race or anyone else's race or color should matter, but I figured I'd point that out. :)

I'll try to keep in mind that you're not a bad person overall and we've had some good interactions in the past and hopefully still will in some regards. But please don't tag me back to this thread if it's just going to be your usual style of bad faith attacks and that type of crap.

Do you not have any liberals or leftists in your family or friends or coworkers or acquaintances? Can you not discuss these things civilly and fairly in real life? Not sure why you've adopted this online persona with regard to politics. You're a cool guy on other topics, so not sure why you can't be cool on political issues as well...

Cena always had good promo skills and was freakishly strong, but his character evolved from a comedy standpoint into something that was boring as shit, so boring that at least half of the audience would boo him every night for around a decade.

Cena stayed on top because he was extremely professional, towed the company line to a tee and did a lot of Make-a-Wish greetings.

He seems like a good dude, but he isn't the type to be guided by what he personally feels.

Your race/s don't matter to me whatsoever.

But it would to the CPP representative you'd attempt to correct them that they are not communist.

They're racist as fuck.

I wasn't the one that attacked first.

I'm a counter-puncher.

I have a friend who's a Pakistani muslim and he immigrated here in 2004, graduated top of his class here at WSU as a business major, and one of the most book-smart people I have ever met. He believed everything he saw on CNN and John Stewart about Bush and Obama, had the most severe case of TDS I had ever seen with my own eyes. I've actually learned alot from him about the geo-political climate in the middle-east, China, Russia, and Pakistan. Interesting shit.

I've been discussing politics with him on a monthly basis over cigars and drinks, and its been hilarious watching how he has gone from "Trump is the worst person in the world because of his tweets' to 'Oh my fucking god have the Biden and Democrats lost their fucking minds?'

Especially over the Wuhan Virus Lab story over the last 48 hours. He told me a year ago that it wasn't true because factcheck.org said it wasn't true. No matter what I said about the mountains of evidence it was leaked from the Wuhan lab be basically replied with 'That is not true because CNN hasn't reported it.'

Now he's saying 'You were right! They lied to the public! Why?' And I replied "Corporate media main function is to mislead the public into electing leftist politicians, and they wanted Trump to lose and Biden to win. Trump said the virus was released from the Wuhan lab, and that's in opposition to the media's narrative that Trump is to blame for every Covid death in America, so Trump must be lying. Now Trump is gone, Biden is in, and the truth is coming out that Trump was right, the media and fact-checkers were lying, but that doesn't matter because Biden his China's cockholster and nothing will ever be done to hold them accountable for releasing a virus that killed 3 million people and wrecked the world's economy."

For the first time in 10 years, he didn't have anything to say.

Oh, by the way, as far left as he is he's always referred to China as communist.

There's a lot to unpack here and I have to pushback on the claim that I attacked first, but anyway...

I've been highly critical of CNN and the MSM in general. I've been critical of Obama, Hillary, Biden, Bill, Pelosi, Schumer, etc.

At best, China let a man made virus slip out of a lab in Wuhan. At worst, they committed an act of bioterrorism that disproportionately affected the United States, India, Brazil and other countries and they should pay for their crimes. At the very least, I want this to be fairly and thoroughly investigated and subject to international law and sanctions.

I didn't vote for Obama in 2012. I voted for Gary Johnson. I was a registered Republican at the time and ideologically I was a small l libertarian. I'm not some leftist or liberal bot. I've put a lot of thought into these issues and have studied them for years and come to my own conclusions.

I don't like Trump, but the MSM definitely made some stuff up about him and opposed him in dumb ways. They did the same thing to Bernie and others like Tulsi Gabbard. I'm not a big fan of hers these days, but that bitch Hillary slandering her as a Russian asset is ridiculous. I thank Tulsi for her service as I would thank anyone else who's served.

When you're accusing someone who's active-duty military of something like that, you better be damn sure and you better have the evidence to back it up. The military would not let her actively serve if there was any truth to Hillary's claims. Hillary's a disgrace for slandering someone who serves like that. She also said it about Jill Stein, which is also disgraceful, but at least Stein isn't active or ex military. Tulsi being active military makes it worse.

Doesn't matter which one it is. They intentionally kept the rest of the world in the dark about the leak, its origins, shut down domestic travel while keeping international travel open, the WHO (which we fund) were spokesmen for the CCP to the point of denying human-to-human transition was possible as late as Jan 2020 when they knew about the outbreak in Nov 2019... AND blamed the US military as the source of the outbreak within Wuhan.

And Biden's administration, entire Democrat Party, amd America's Wallstreet/Big Business/Banking aren't going to do jack shit to hold China accountable for anything. So, CCP might as well 'accidently' release another virus upon the world because... why not?

I'll respond to the rest later. Time for bed.

Man people on here sure like to hate different countries. I wonder if all countries people act like this.

If we're talking about a person struggling to make ends meet or who is otherwise precarious financially then yes $50 can mean a lot and I understand being a bit PC to protect your livelihood but John Cena is worth ~$60 million, he's not going to go hungry or homeless if he takes a moral stand here.

Weird to see Lefty posters coming to Cena's defense but whatever.

Because there are hardly ever any reason and logic based discussions when it comes to China.
It's just a bunch of people screaming "Fuck China. Fuck Communism. Fuck the CCP. "
The faux outrage has little to do with the actual actions of China, and more to do with finding a way to shit on the left, Hollywood, and Communism.

A lot of Americans act like China is the embodiment of evil, and it's a childish way to understand or discuss China and the politics surrounding it.

Cena is getting shit on for basically not saying "Fuck you, China".
What do the Uighuars, Tibetans, and Communism have to do with this particular issue ?
The Chinese government claims that Taiwan is part of their territory. A famous and popular American performer/actor made a public statement that contradicts their claim.
Obviously, China was going to say something about it....just like any other nation would if there was some kind of internal land dispute going on. If Texas or Hawaii were seriously wanting to break off from the US, claimed their sovereignty, and then another foreign public figure backed that claim, what would be the likely response of America?
People just want Cena to criticize China, and to not do anything that could potentially help them or their economy.....and they demand this from their made in China iPhones while sitting on their Made in China computer chairs and desks.
I think the American/Western hypocrisy and xenophobia is what some of the leftys have issue with.

1. The last Fast movie made more money in China than North America.
2. Cena plays a heel in Fast 9 so he's actually keeping kayfabe.

Cena is defending the Chinese nationalists. Considering what Han Chinese nationalism is doing to its minorities, it is quite reasonable to shit on Cena for only thinking about his fame and money.

He shit on Taiwan by kowtowing to China. So why shouldn't he get shit on? He has no problem shitting on Taiwan because their market is not remotely as big as China's market. At the end of the day he is selfish and greedy. If we can shit on corporations from acting in an immoral or amoral manner, why shouldn't we do the same for celebrities?

You have a very loose definition of the word 'defending'.
John Cena is not a political actor. He is a company man. He is staying out of the politics of a foreign nation by just apologizing and bowing out of the conversation.
That is not "defending" Chinese nationalists. It isn't "shitting on" Taiwan. It's staying out of it.
The framing of your whole argument makes it impossible to have a straight, matter of fact conversation about China, because if someone is not shitting on China, then that means they are "defending" them in your eyes.

How China treats its minorities, and the relationship between China and Taiwan are entirely different subjects. This issue with Cena is about Taiwan.

There are only 15 nations that recognize Taiwan as a sovereign state, and the United States isn't one of those nations.
At the end of the day, John Cena isn't going to go to war with the state of China. He isn't going to tank his career and bring that heat down on him, Hollywood, and the rest of America.
As a matter of fact, it might not even be good for the people of Taiwan for him to open his mouth about it because it could provoke China into actually acting. And we all know that the US isn't going to go to war over Taiwan.
Any serious action and discussion needs to be had by serious people. Lebron James, John Cena, Snookie, and Ja Rule have no business yapping about the internal politics of foreign states.
