Bellator new Signings thread

If I'm Burgos Im trying PFL.
I had forgotten about PFL, In sure they will make an offer for their PPV shows and he could also try to make 1 million on the regular season.

The best thing about this signing is for Bellator to establish connections at that gym. There are some decent guys coming out of there, mainly Alejandro Leyva. So, if they can establish some relations in there they could snatch some decent Latin fighters.

Lara fights out of there so they already had some connections but this might strengthen it.

I think Leyva trains out of Entram rather than Lobo though. Either way I can't see an exciting WW Mexican double Olympian finisher anywhere but the UFC tbh.

Tapology has her listed as Entram so I assumed thats where she trained. I dont think Bellator has any other Entram fighter so she might be the first of more to come, particularly if they are really interested in Mexico, like Coker said.

Yeah, more than likely Leyva will end up in the UFC, I dont inow where his ceiling is but he is pretty good.

He will entertain offers, PFL and Bellator need to take this chance.

Pretty good thread on Akhmed Magomedov who is making his debut this week

BIG NEWS
Bilostenniy has been added to the Bellator roster on their page

Along with undefeated 23 yr old Imamshafi Aliev 7-0

Glad they are adding more fighters to weight classes they desperately need depth in. A lot of LW, and now MW and HW. Hopefully, they add keep this trend. Forget about BW, FW, and WW (unless a good opportunity presents itself, like Burgos) those are pretty solid.

Aliev is listed as a LHW, so it's still good since it's a division they are shallow in

MW needs way more than LHW, but yes with Bader and Rumble gone from LHW it suddenly lacks depth.

Are they any good?
Bilostenniy is one of those "new HWs" (young, fast, athletic, not too heavy, fun fighter, a finisher). Still unproven but could have a high ceiling. Only lost twice (got RNC by Vakahev both times).

I think Kornilov is THE big HW signing outside the big promotions. I know @Hellowhosthat has him at 3 or 4 but I think he way more proven and durable than Buchecha and Bilostenniy.

@Hellowhosthat how far can Bilostenniy go in Bellator?

Theres no reason he shouldn't be able to become HW champ.

Valentin Moldavsky is the only fighter I can see potentially giving him issues. Wrestling is definitely his achilles-heel but the combination of power and speed he possesses is unmatched by any heavyweight fighting in any promotion.

I could see him being ranked P4P HW #1 over the UFC HW champion if he develops correctly as he is still quite young for a HW.

Wow sounds like high praise across the board. I’ll be keeping an eye out for sure. Wonder why he didn’t hold out for ufc.

He seems to be the real deal but its hard to assess the ceiling of such a young and inexperienced fighter. Im holding final judgement until I see him fighting someone ranked in Bellator. I hope he is on one of the Euro cards (Ireland or Italy) and fights someone worthwhile. Sariçam would be ideal for me.

Sergey has a very high ceiling, i dropped him behind Buchecha after he gassed horribly and arguably lost his last fight though.

But yeah he has power, ridiculously fast hands and can wrestle a bit. The question mark is going to be the cardio.

Aliev we'll see about at the weekend I think, he had a tough time beating Nalgis when he fought him at UAE Warriors but I'm not sure how good Nalgis is yet. He's fighting Will Currie for Cage Warriors this weekend so I think how well Currie does with Nalgis could tell us a bit about Aliev.

Oleg Popov could beat him also but if he can avoid him, he can become champ imo

Great signing, HW is finally getting good fighters

Definitely. I think most upper-tier wrestlers could hypothetically beat him if they were able to survive and tire him out.

He is a prospect that is still developing. While he may have a championship level ceiling he definitely needs to improve his wrestling and conditioning to realize his full potential in the sport.

From what I read it sounded as though he had been having a hard time getting fights in Russia since he left ACA, so perhaps signing with an international promotion like Bellator is what he needed to make the most of everything.
